What happened next wasn't really much of a surprise to me, considering just about everyone in this entire building wanted to kill us.
The elevator doors blinked on numbers as whoever it was made their way up to where we were

Miles grabbed my wrists and led me to the door.
"We have to go now!" He exclaimed.
Miles tried the door.
As expected, it didn't budge. Carson looked at me expectantly. I nodded and sighed. Glancing at the elevator doors, then the numbers as they lit like a chirstmas tree.

I put my sweating palms on the door knob and ran my shoulder into the door. There was a small indentment, but the door still refused to budge.
"I'm not rushing you to get the door open or anything, sweetheart, but i'm rushing you to get the door open. Please. hurry."
Miles came to help, and we both ran into the door, knocking it down with full force.
We fell down on the floor with the door and scrambled back to our feet. We hurridely put the door back into its threshhold as best as we could after Carson joined us.
Another thing I wasn't so surprised by was the fact that we were (shocker) sorounded by guards, their gums aimed at us, ready to fire as many times they were allowed.
"How nice of you all to join us." Miles said sarcastically, loud enough for them all to hear.
They loaded their guns, the sound going around the room like the echoes of double claps.
"Do you have any weapons?" One of them in the front row asked, his gun still pointed directly at us. His mask made his voice muffled, and it took me a moment to realize what he had said.
"Oh, no. We don't have anything." I spoke up, "We just want our families and we'll be on our way."
The guard glared at me. He did two nods and in a moment four guards were on us, leading us away.
"No!" I yelled. Elbowing one in what I thought was his mouth, because I hit what felt like his teeth.
It hurt like hell.
I sprinted away from the guards, but not before one had caught up with me, throwing me over his shoulder. As hard as i could, I brought my legs down and bit into his neck, making him yelp like a wild animal.
I searched the room for Miles or Carson, and they were both fighting for freedom. I stood, frozen in fear and I watched Miles fight a man who was lunging a sharp, long blade at him. Miles ducked, and dodged, avoiding getting stabbed or cut as much as possible.
Until suddenly, another guard came behind Miles, forcing him into a headlock, and holding him still.
My feet refused to move.
The man with the knife lunged at Miles once more and jabbed the knife into his lower abdomen.
"Miles!" I cried out, breaking into a run and running to his aid. Every person that had tried to stop me got beat to their knees.
Including the one who stabbed him.
His blood was splattered onto his shirt and the ground as if it was suppoed to be some type of art.
I sobbed violently as I looked down as he face, contorted in agony. He was roughly clutching where he had been hurt.
"Let me see." I weeped.
"N-No." He mumbled.
I pried my hand away from his wound and turned my head away after I saw.
It was bad.
"You need to go. T-The stairs. Ta-" He paused to breathe in a jagged breath. "Take the stairs."
"I'm not leaving you like this." I cried.
"I'm not asking you to go, Dorian, please. Find Izzy and get out of here."
"Miles, please."
"Dorie I said GO!" He yelled with as much strength his body allowed him to use.
A voice behind me spoke up. "I'll keep an eye on him."
It was Carson.
He kneeled down beside me and grimaced as he touched the ground.
"Listen to me, it's very important that you go and find Hans. You're our only hope."
I nodded solemly, tears still streaming down my face.
I leaned down and kissed Miles on his forehead, he forced a smile upon his lips.
Carson hugged me awkwardly.
"Go" He said after our hug ended.
I stood and began to walk away, looking back at them numerous amounts of times before I finally jogged away to the long spiral of stairs that led to a room.
