To be honest, I never wanted to go back to school. Then again, the only reason I went in the first place was to learn how to fight; that way I could avenge my parents murders.
An hour before school started; Danny, Winter, Leigh-Ann, and Damon were convincing me to go.
Leigh-Ann sternly said, "you are going; no ifs, ands, or buts."
I groan, "Leigh-Ann, I've explained this already. I'm almost a hundred percent sure that new kid is a freaking cyborg! He's probably here to finish what his kind started with my parents!"
Damon snorted, "Faith, you and your imagination! Oh, you crack me up."
I grab a pen off my nightstand and chuck it at his head. Sadly, he caught it and smiled sweetly at me.
I glare at him, "fuck off."
Winter sat on the bed beside me, giving me her best puppy eyes, "Faith, will you pretty please come to school today? You know you're the only reason Jason and his friends doesn't pick on me."
Don't get me wrong, Winter is an amazing person, but she doesn't always stand up for herself.
I sigh, "fine, but only for you."
Winter clapped, "yay!"
Before I could say anything, Winter shrank until she was two inches tall with little soft pink and teal butterfly shaped wings. She started zipping around my room like a fly on steroids and crack.
Laughing I say, "Winter quit that. I can barely see you."
She stopped and hovered in front of my face, wearing her usual devilish pixie smile.
Winter said, "I'm sorry. You know how I get when I'm excited."
Okay, you wouldn't know that's what she said if you had just met her, and didn't have super advanced hearing. Her voice was just a succession of squeaks, but I've known her long enough to get what she says in pixie form.
She sits down beside me, returns to her human form, and hugs me, "I'm just glad you care."
I chuckle, "how could I not?"
Winter nods, "touché."
Okay, to clear some things up, the first time I met Winter I saved her life.

Danny and I have been on our own for several years now. We've been moving from town to town looking for a place to stay.
We were in this one town for almost a week, when I came across some human kids picking on a pixie, who was in her pixie form.
One knocked her out of the air, but before another could kick her, I zapped the kid.
The kids turned to look at me, and the oldest looking one sneered, "what do you want freak?"
Power flowed through me, and a halo of blue flame surrounded me, when I spoke my voice sounded weird and full of power, "I'd suggest you leave before I get really angry."
By now, the pixie was in human form and staring at me in amazement. The human kids ran off, their eyes wide with fear. As soon as the last one disappeared from sight, the flames disappeared and I collapsed to my knees.
The pixie scooted over, "are you alright?"
I nod looking into her innocent, piercing, sky blue eyes, "yeah. What's your name?"
The pixie's smile was full of childlike happiness, "I'm Winter. Thanks for sticking up for me. Those human kids never leave me alone."
I smile, "I'm Faith, and as long as I'm here, they won't so much as think of saying a thing to you."

Although I doubt it's the best thing, I'm basically the older sister Winter never had.
Damon knelt in front of me, "please don't be mad at me."
I glare at him, "you're an ass."
He smiled at me with an intense emotion in his brown eyes, "I was just kidding baby."
I roll my eyes, pretending to be mad at him, although the truth was I could never stay mad at him for long, "whatever floats your boat. Now get out, so I can get dressed without having someone mauling me with their eyes."
Chuckling, both him and Danny left us girls to get ready. Contrary to popular belief, it doesn't take us an hour to get ready. Ten minutes later, we were tumbling out of my room, laughing. I was wearing my favorite black leather jacket and fingerless gloves, a dark tie-dye Supernatural crop top, black jean shorts, and my favorite black combat boots.
Damon just shook his head, "Danny said was taking the Charger to the store. You're practically out of food." Damon pulls me close, "you really should've worn something less revealing. I'm tempted to skip school with you."
I nod and turn to Winter, "it's your turn to drive us."
While Winter ran to her room to grab the keys to her black, four-door, '67 Chevrolet Impala; the rest of us trudged to the car garage to wait for her.
When Winter arrived, Damon was a bit busy making out with my neck.
Winter exclaimed, "oh my gosh! Enough with the PDA! I already have to deal with seeing glimpses of other couples eating each other's faces. Please spare me!"
I push Damon back and playfully slap his chest, "bad boy."
Damon grins, "you got that right babe."
I roll my eyes and climb into Winter's Impala, ignoring him when he sat beside me and started poking my side.
After Winter pulled out of the garage, I ask, "can we go to Krispy Kreme?"
Winter nodded, and we spent half an hour there eating donuts, donut holes, and drinking coffee. Well except for Damon, he just sat there watching us eating and joking around with us. When we left, I felt much better and ready to face the day.
