*the pic is of Damon*
Danny and I stumble into the dark forest that surrounds our town. We run until we reached a hidden cave that was set up for emergencies such as this.
Danny helped me into the cave after moving the fake rock that blocked the entrance. I sit down, muttering a spell to start a small fire as he moves the rock back in place.
"Sruthán dóiteán coisín geal agus fada tríd an oíche fuse nó coise, " the small blue fire in my hand lit up the small space perfectly.
Danny smiles at me, and ruffles "I guess I'm lucky to have you as a sister."
I smile and the fire flares a little brighter, "yeah."
Danny shook his head, "I think there's a lamp in here."
He poked around the boxes that were at the back. After a few minutes he found what he was looking for, a kerosene lamp. He fiddled around with it.
Danny said, "good thing it's full. The only thing we need to do is light the wick."
I smile, holding my hand out. He uses the fire in my hand to light the lamp. After the lamp was lit I close my hand, extinguishing the fire. Danny sits by me, and I fall asleep in his arms.

The bell rings, snapping me out of my thoughts. I close out of the window, I had finally found my next target.
I gather my things and head to the cafeteria. Winter and Leigh-Ann met me there.
I through my arms around them, "so, ladies, what shall we eat today?"
Winter said, "pizza sounds good. Plus we always have pizza on Fridays."
I laugh, "fair enough."
After we get our food, we head to our table, which is at the back of the lunchroom. Damon is already sitting there munching on a sandwich. I sit by Damon while Leigh-Ann and Winter sit on the other side of the table.
The four of us were talking and laughing as usual. Today's topic was about which weapon would be the most efficient in a fight.
We all kept arguing that our weapon of choice was the best.
I said, "a pair of chakram with a hidden gun. The best weapon ever."
Leigh-Ann laughed, "no, a bow staff that can separate into nun-chucks with blades are the best."
Damon rolled his eyes, "the lot of you are diluted with terrible weapons. The best weapons are what you were born with. Brains, feet, and fists."
I look at him, "please you use weapons as well. You have a set of shotgun gauntlets and all sorts of knives."
Damon grins, "yeah, and it takes brains to use my gauntlets and knives properly."
Winter laughs, "Damon, you are so full of crap. A katana is the way to go."
We kept this conversation up for a few more minutes. I saw the doors open, and I froze. Danny should be here, he promised that he was coming back from his assignment that took him to Italy. I've always wanted to go to Italy.
Danny is two years older than me, so he graduated two years ago. He's also part of the reason I want to be a wildlife conservationist. Since he's the son of a werewolf and a very powerful witch, he can use basic spells. He decided to be a wildlife conservationist, and he had me help him with some of his homework. It was easy and seemed fun, and man I was right.
Danny stepped into the room, and his eyes automatically found me. I jump up from my seat and run to him, flinging my arms around him.
I say, "you made it!"
Danny laughs, "of course I did sis."
I pull back, "did you bring me anything?"
Danny sighs sadly, "I'm sorry sis. It was a job, not a vacation."
I cross my arms, "Daniel Ren Rose, I don't believe you."
He looks up at me with a smile, "you shouldn't, because I got you a very special thing."
Bouncing on my feet, I ask, "can I please have it?"
Danny wraps an arm around my shoulders and drags me back to our table, which is silent. Leigh-Ann and Winter are drooling over Danny while Damon glares at him. I sit back down by Damon, who wraps an arm around my waist, and Danny sits on my other side.
I turn to Danny, "so, is Italy as beautiful as mom always told us it was."
Danny smiles, "even better, because it was in real life."
I sigh, "oh wow. I'd kill to go to Italy. Literally."
Everyone at the table laughs at this, even Danny. He made the same joke a week earlier before he left.
Danny said, "close your eyes and hold one hand out. What I'm giving you is a surprise."
I close my eyes and eagerly holding my hand out.
Danny chuckled, and I felt something metallic in my hand.
"You can open your eyes, Faith."
When I saw what was in my hand, I covered my mouth with my free hand. It was a gorgeous silver necklace with a pear shaped aquamarine surrounded with diamonds.
I look up at Danny, "it looks like the one dad gave mom."
Danny nods, "it is exactly like it."
I wrap my arms around his neck, "thank you."
He hugged me back, "you're welcome sis."
I hear a low growl behind us and I scoff, "shut the fuck up Damon, he's my brother."
I can practically see him rolling his eyes, "I don't care. You're mine."
I let Danny go and face Damon, "you're not my boyfriend. Get over yourself, and stop growling every time I hug my brother."
He glares at Danny, and I roll my eyes, turning my attention back to my necklace. I unclasp it, and put it on. The pendant rests a few inches under my collarbone.
I look at Danny, "I love it. Thank you."
Danny ruffled my hair, "anything for you little sis."
I roll my eyes, and press for details about his trip to Italy. We were laughing and joking for the rest of the lunch hour.
