Little Lies Of Pain

Pain seeded
In an unwelcomed manner, resides.
A huge lump of nothingness inside my chest.
A short life well lived, yet full of regrets.
It is often said to not dwell in the past,
Yet it is more comforting and certain than the future.
A future!
One where chaos can take place
Not much to look for, not full of grace.
Uncertainty brings pain, although,
"No pain, no gain" they say;
But what is there to look forward to in broken hearts?
Shattered souls where hunger, depression, neglect, and oppression rot our minds;
Consume what little we have left of dreams, kills off our joy.
All to be replaced by the ticking of time.
The enslavement to the clock,
of children whom all but seek freedom in this neverending world, broken.
All but fed lies;
lies that shatter;
lies that steal;
lies that kill;
lies of pain.
