Silver Shadow's POV

The alarm clock blared, as the time read "7:50 am". I woke up with a start. For a brief second I thought someone had broken inside my cozy apartment, which was situated near the edge of the city near the forest. After sitting in silence for one second, I got out my blue king sized bed and headed to the bathroom that was about eight feet tall and wide. I lumbered over to the bathroom like a zombie, still half asleep, as I walked across the white marble floor with bare feet. I turned on the bright white lights that matched the white floor, wall, ceiling, sink, toilet, and the borders of the crystal clear mirror. The diamond clear water ran out of the silver nobs. I looked up into the mirror as I splashed water onto my face to freshen up. Thinking about my first day at college and looking at the mirror at my muscular form and the scar that ran through my left eye, I thought "How am I going to accomplish this quest?".

I changed into my college outfit, which was a white t-shirt and dark blue jeans. My armor and weapons laid in a cardboard box on the floor, underneath the various variety of outfits hanging above on a wooden rod. I grabbed my black indestructible cloak on the way out of the room. When I entered my living room that had the kitchen sitting to the left side of the room, the lights turned on by themselves. There was no food or other supplies in the cupboards or refrigerator. So I cupped my hands to drink water out of the sink and then decided to take on last glance at the sketch of the target. I put on my black leather boots as I studied the sketch.

After a bit, I looked at the time my watch read "7:55 am"

After a bit, I looked at the time my watch read "7:55 am". I had to get to my college now which was across the city and it would take two minutes to get there. I quickly ran out the door, in doing so I left my cloak on the white wooden chair of the matching colored dinning table.

I ran through the ice cold morning air and fog. The lush, newly cut, green grass was covered with diamond like droplets that were scattered all over. As I approached the college there are students standing around, some talk and laugh while others scatter to get to their classes. I look at the schedule and map of the college that was given to me by Zikrab's agent. While reading the schedule and walking towards my first class, I run into a girl who was also rushing in the opposite direction. The collision caused both of us to fall backward and our books clattered everywhere on the ground. Biiiiing! The bell rings, signaling all to get to their classes.

The girl turns red from embarrassment and then quickly picks up her scattered books. She hands me back my books as her face is still red and she looks into my eyes with her beautiful green ones. Her silky yet curled brown hair falls over her shoulders as she turns to go in the opposite direction. I turn my head around to watch as she jogs away and out of sight. It was time to get to my class before getting late, and being late on the first day isn't a good sign. So I jogged down the corridor and turned a right, and there was my class.

On the polished metal label beside the classroom door it read "Chemistry". The doors outer border was eroded away by chemicals. Also on the hinges of the door was thick rust and the wooden floor's, in front of the door, color was fading away. I had to push really hard on the door with all my strength to get it to open. I almost toppled over onto the floor when it did open, but I balanced myself immediately. When I looked around the classroom, everyone was staring at me especially the teacher. There were bubbling substances in cylinders and pots that had fire burning underneath them. Due to all the fog, mist, and chemicals in the room everyone was wearing goggles covering their eyes. The teacher was in the middle of writing a bunch of chemical formulas and elements structure on the blackboard.

"Ah this is our new student who will be joining us today. His name is Silver Shadow." said the teacher after a few seconds of silence. When my name was said people snickered and whispered to each other. "Welcome, please have a seat and join us. For now you will have to share a textbook with someone near you until you get one from the library. " the teacher said as he motion all the students to quite down.

I saw an empty seat near the back of the room near the girl I bumped into earlier. So I quickly went over and sat down, and took out a notebook and pen. I started to write all the formulas and notes from the lecture the teacher was giving upfront. The beautiful girl that I bumped into was smiling at me as she positioned her textbook so that I could look at it.

"Hello Mr I will bump you." she said jokingly. "Hey. My name is---" I said smiling yet I paused because I wanted so bad to tell her my real name but I don't know if I can trust her. "What is your name? Silver Shadow?" she asked raising her eyebrow every so slightly. "No. That's just what everyone calls me. I have a real name that no one knows." I whispered to her. "Okay. What is your real name?" she asked smiling. "Okay, well promise you won't tell anyone." I said with seriousness in my voice. "I promise. I mean I'm new too so yeah." she replied seeing how important and serious it was not to go around telling people my real name. "My name is Xavier Donovan. What's yours?" I replied making sure only she could hear me. "That's a really cool name. My name is Velda Irvine. Nice to meet you Xavier." she said smiling and looking at me with her beautiful green eyes that were glowing gently with excitement.
