Chapter 8- The Battle

Silver Shadow's POV

As the voices get closer it turns out to be three people, two of them are guys and one of them is a girl. They all are dressed in black from top to bottom and the two guys had black bags slung over on one shoulder. One of the guys that seemed to be the leader of the group stopped a few inches away from me and ordered me to get up. Even though I was the one never took orders from people, I got up to my feet and I saw Velda get up on her feet too. She had an angry expression and stood with her arms crossed, it seemed like she knew the guy. The leader guy had black gelled hair, bright blue eyes, high cheeks that had fainted freckles, black shades, dark red diamond earrings, thin black eyebrows, short faded black eyelashes, and thick mustache that was curled at the tips with a matching black goatee. He was wearing a black leather jacket and black pants that slightly sagged. Also his hands balled into fists as he studied me and then looked at Velda.

For a brief second something, really loud sound rang that distracted me as I looked over at what was the cause of the sound. I was just about to dodge his fists, but unfortunately my aim was off. I took a few steps back but then found my balance and saw the perfect way to take down the guy. "Get Xavier. Come on you got this Matt." the two started cheering and stood by the far wall near the bookshelves. I disappeared and reappeared right behind the guy and smashed the back of his knees and then grabbed the back of his neck. "How the hell did you do that?" he asked as he struggled to get out of my grasp. "Let's just say its all a grand magic trick." I replied as I created a fire ball in my hand.

"Now, you are going to tell me how you know my real name and how you got in here. Also who you're working for." I said smirking and bringing the fire ball centimeters underneath his chin. "I...I.. uh... I um..." Matt said as fear grew in his blue eyes. "Tell me. Or your going starting losing those hands of yours. And it would be smart to keep those hands for your girlfriend over there." I commanded again. I had killed some many people before, it wouldn't be that big of a deal if another person was gone from the world. "That's enough stop it. Let Matt go Xavier." Velda said with a bit of fear in her eyes too. "Why do you care if he dies or not? It's not like he will ever want to be with you ever again." I replied as I turned to Velda while holding my grasp on Matt.

Just then somehow he disappeared and appeared right behind me and kicked on my back. I was caught of guard and hit the floor. "Ah a worth opponent who also knows how to do magic." I said as I rolled onto my back. "I see you have finally noticed that I too have a gem." he said as he pinned me down with his feet. "Now got any last words Xavier." he said laughing and watched as I had no reaction to his words.

When I was about to reply, Velda pulled Matt back and said to him "That's enough you two. We all get that you both have powers and can fight each other. But why are you back?". As he tried to fire an electric ball at me but failed since Velda put on some arm cuffs that blocked his powers. I got up onto my feet and then said to him "Why did you start fighting me?". "Ugh... first I have a reason for being back that none of you will ever understand. Also let's just say I hate you Xavier." "Really, because I have never even met you ever." I replied looking at his angry face. "Oh my god. How can you say that?! You know you saw me before you just don't want to admit here in front of your girlfriend here." he said taking off his glasses. Then it clicked I do know this guy from a few years ago. "Also she isn't my girlfriend we just met and there were psycho killers up there at the school." I said with a bit annoyance in my voice and ever so slightly blushed.

He somehow undid the arm cuffs and said to me "Now the real game starts. We will see who wins now" as he motioned something to other people by the wall. Matt grabbed Velda and then said to her "Say bye to your boyfriend darling.", she looked at me as she turned slightly red from blushing and in her eyes I saw that she didn't want to be near him. Velda tried to get away from him but he held his grip. After a few seconds him, his group, and Velda all vanished.
