One might say that all hope was lost for Velda and Xavier. The city would soon be doomed to an eternal curse created by Matt. What hope was left that Xavier would still be alive?
Matt's POV
I know it's not nice what I did to Xavier and Velda. The funny thing was that I laughed because I hadn't actually killed Xavier. I mean I might have stabbed him and put him in pain but he would recover. I just stand by the kitchen watching Velda try all these healing spells on Xavier. I can just tell Velda that he isn't dead but what fun would that be, I know right so cruel.
After a few seconds, Velda lays her head on Xavier's chest with her hands on his hand that lays at his side. I walk over to both of them and I sit down beside Xavier. A few minutes of everyone sitting in dead silence, Xavier opens his eyes and jerks his head up. When he does it in a way like he just woke up from a nightmare. Velda looks up and hugs him so tightly like she hasn't seen him in years. As they hug, Xavier sits up and props one hand on the ground and the other hand wrapped around Velda.
I get up and go to the table and start packing up everything. After a few seconds, they both get to their feet. It's adorable how both of their faces are slightly red from blushing. Xavier tries heals himself, but it doesn't work.
"Now, will you do the last bit by activating this item." I said as I hold out the item to Xavier. "Alright, after all you owe me big time, again." he said smirking as he activated the item. It glowed a gently blue and the machinery starting to churn. "Thank you. Farewell. I will owe you back, I promise."I replied as I grabbed everything and left the house. "Now time to finally activate my revenge." I thought as I left.
Silver Shadow's POV
As Matt left the house, Velda rested her head on my left shoulder and I had my left arm wrapped around her shoulders.
As the door closed behind Matt, I said to Velda "You know this house is for sale. It's a nice house once you fix it up a bit.". She looked at me with a confused face of what I meant by saying that. "Well, I was thinking to buy it. But who wants to live alone in a big house." I said stepping a few steps back. "So why are you telling me this?" she asked. "I was thinking maybe once we get to know each other better and become really good friends. We could move into this house. But you know it's up to you." I said shrugging and walking towards the door to leave. "Wait. Suppose--" she said as she was broken of by the rumbling of the ground. The ground started shaking and then all of a sudden it stopped.
"What just happened?" she asked me. "That's not normal." I replied as I quickly moved the curtains aside and looked out the window that was next to the front door. My eyes widened as I looked at what was in the sky.
I went outside and saw it get closer to the city. The shield around the city wouldn't hold against it. Outside the city folk were running around trying to get inside the buildings. I closed my eyes decided on what to do and wither or not to let the whole city die.
There is a fire on the wooden houses. The flames lick the tops of the houses growing bigger and bigger ever moment. I am eighteen years old, and I hold a silver sword pointed at a humble old man's chest. There are the village folks bodies laying around the houses. Also a women, that holds a young boy, is screaming not to kill the old man. Without hesitation I stab the sword into the old man's chest.
I open my eyes again to see the terror in city folks eyes as the fled to safety. This time I wasn't going to let anyone die. I raised hands in front of me and I activate the strongest shield that I know of. That should hold against it.
