Velda was figuring out how to get the door open, even though she didn't want to know what was on the other side. While she was thinking, Xavier grab a medium sized black rock as slammed it down with all his strength and cracked open the big iron lock.  He opened the iron doors as they creaked with age and orange rust is on the hinges making it a bit more harder to open. There is complete darkness below and a wooden ladder attached to the side of the ground. Xavier placed his arms vertical in front of the sides of the ladder and lowered Velda gently onto the ladder. She then descended into the darkness below.

She reaches the ground safely and as she looks above, the sun rays that were coming from the open doors stopped coming in and the iron doors above slammed closed. Velda stood there in the pitch darkness completely alert. After a few seconds of dead silence with the exception of water dripping onto a puddle somewhere in the distance, a hand grasped Velda's shoulder tightly. She stabbed whoever or whatever was there in the heart with her pocket knife. Then as a few surrounding candles that were on the wall came on, she dropped her bloody knife as she looked at who or what she stabbed.

There laying on the cobblestone floor, was Xavier with one hand on his heart in attempt to stop the blood from coming out and with his eyes looking down at the floor. The blood pool grew bigger and bigger as Velda with horror thought "I just stabbed an innocent man who saved me from a bunch of psycho killers and this what I do.....to repay him...." as she tried to look around for something to stop the crisis from happening. There are bunch of wooden tables cluttered with all the colors imaginable of potions and small bookshelves also cluttered with tons of books about curses, spells, and bunch of other topics. Papers with notes and diagrams scattered all over the place. As she looked around she heard Xavier breaths getting slower and slower.

After a few seconds of frantically looking for something she found nothing but a voice from the darkness on the other half of the room said to her "Do you really wish to save this man?" the voice asked calmly. "Yes, please I will do anything." she replied with worry and tears starting to roll down her pure white cheeks. "Okay, well you will have to make a life or death decision for him and it will stay with him forever. Also it can never be undone." the voice said coming into the light. "Alright tell me what it is. And your name too." Velda said looking at the formal dressed man that had polished black shoes that went well with his gelled hair. "It is simply this blue potion. I will give it to you. And you might want to hurry. By the way you can call me Zikrab." he said extending his arm to hand Velda the potion. "Okay. Thank you." she turned around to give to Xavier but he layed as still as an inanimate object.

She knew it was too late and was going to have to be on the run for her whole life. Velda looked for the man who gave the potion but he was no where in sight. She put her head onto Xavier's eight pack with her hands wrapped around her head and cried. Velda sat there crying as the part of the shirt was getting soaked with her tears. She raised her head a bit and looked at Xavier's face, that was beaded with sweat as well as the middles of his chest up to his neck was also drenched in sweat, and then she poured the potion into his mouth with her trembling hands. After a few minutes nothing happened. She knew she had just murdered someone who saved her and she just didn't know what to do now.

As a few hours passed, Velda rested her back against Xavier's stomach and read some books she found on the cluttered shelves to pass the time. While reading she had almost fallen asleep as she studied a diagram that a octagon with a bunch of circles and in those circles where images of various things. After a seconds of looking at the page she turned the page and read, when all of sudden she heard someone say "Now look who is the nerd. Reading books about how to make various curses, that are very deadly might I add." a voice from close to her said. She turned to see who it was, and she saw Xavier sitting up leaning on one arm that was propped on the ground with his other arm resting on his stomach. They both laughed after he said that to Velda, she wanted to hug Xavier so bad but she decided it was best not to. Her eyes light up so much at the sight of Xavier sitting, that the light in her eyes could light up a room twice the size of a closet. She had also cleaned the blood on the ground and on Xavier's shirt using a spell she found in a book about cleaning up/ healing. Xavier and Velda sat in silence holding each other's gaze while Velda still rested on Xavier's stomach.

After a few seconds of just sitting there, a tear rolled down Velda's pure white skin as she looked down for a second then back at Xavier and said "I'm really sorry I stabbed you. I didn't mean to. You know it's just this weird place..... and the symbol kinda of set me on alert." she said with worry on her face. "Hey, it's okay. Look at me if I was in the same position as you were I would have done the same." he replied coming closer to her and sat as their faces were few inches away from each other, and then he gently brushed the tear that was on Velda's face.

"Alright. By the way how do you know about this spell I was reading on." she asked placing her hand on top of Xavier's hand that was on her cheek. "Well you must know, I have been dealing with curses and spells for fourteen years. I uh... also have this gem...don't tell anyone about this." he said using his hand that was propped on the floor to place it on top of his pure white gem that glowed gently underneath his shirt in the middle of his chest.

A voice from behind them said "Well well well if it isn't the great powerful Xavier.... or what's his face, ah the Silver Shadow." as the voice laughed with a few others that were coming behind the voice.
