Silver Shadow's POV
I wake up with my back against the bookshelf, with my right hand holding a book opened half way on my chest, sitting on top of a pile of books. I set aside the book I was holding and got up on my feet and then stood beside the pile of books. It is completely dark due to all the candles had blown out. I slowly walked over to the ladder, with both hands in front of me, that lead up to the college campus. I grabbed the brown leather bag that I had stuffed all the books I needed in. I slung the bag diagonal across so the strip went diagonally down my chest and the bag hung next to my left hip.
After grabbing the bag, I ascended the wooden ladder all the way up to the iron door. A few minutes later, I stopped a few steps below the iron door. I pushed with both my hands and all my strength upward on the door while balancing on the wooden rod that I stood on. As I was going to shove the door open, my feet slipped and I fell backwards. I hit my head on one of the wooden steps, I grabbed the step. I was a few feet away from the iron door. I pulled up while holding the step, I heard it creak. Just as it was about to break I re-balanced myself on the steps above it. The right side of my forehead was bleeding and I had a headache too. I climbed back up to iron door and shoved it open.
The stepped onto the brown shriveled up grass and closed the iron door. As I covered the iron door with grass, the blood dripping down the right side of my face. I wiped some of the blood that was on my cheek with my t-shirt sleeve. After a few seconds, the iron door was hidden once again. I turned around and walked towards the front of the campus that had the main gate that lead to the city. A few minutes later, I approached the cafeteria and see that there are so many students laying around died with blood pools around them. The cafeteria door is slanted open as if it was slammed open with a heavy item. There are bullet holds in the cafeteria doors, banners that are attached to the walls, and the walls.
I turned away and headed out the front gates. I placed the arm cuffs on the pointed end of the gate that stuck out of the bent side. With all my strength, I undid the cuffs and threw them into a nearby trashcan. I then activated the tracking spell to track down Matt's location. It is a cloudy day and the sun is also covered with clouds. The sky is dark near the forest but above the city it appears to be a sunny and warm day. No wind blowing just a perfect day to go to the beach.
The tracking spell told me Velda's location was in the empty and abandoned leader's house. I got ready to activate my plan for saving her. There might be traps so I had to get ready for anything. I approached the house, I was standing on its porch deciding on if I should go in or not. I heard voices from inside then the lights of living room and dining room turned on. The curtains of all the windows were drawn so no one outside could know what's going on. Also it seemed like there was a spell on the whole house making it look empty to the rest of the city folk.
I know there was no way I could just save Velda and leave without getting attention by Matt. So I activated the invisible spell on myself and walked into the house, and right through the front door. When I walked inside, I saw that Velda was making this item for a very powerful curse. As she turned in my direction I saw that there were bruises scattered around her face and arms. Matt came around from behind me as I stood next to Velda. His face held an angry expression as he grabbed Velda harshly. Just as he was about to slap her, I punch his left side so hard he fell onto the floor.
"Don't you dare touch her." I said angrily as the invisible spell wearied off. "Well, well, well if isn't Xavier once again. Come to save your girlfriend." Matt said as he rolled onto his back and got up to his feet. I saw that Velda's eye were light with happiness that I had come. Her gazed met mine, as we both looked into each other eyes we both blushed. That's when Matt fired ten electric ball at my chest all at once. I fell backwards and my back smashed onto the wooden floor with a thud. I was shocked, literally.
Velda's hands were tied together with a thick rope and one piece of rope that was tied to the chair. She struggled because she wanted to help me. Matt pinned me down with his feet as I was recovering. "Now got any last words, Xavier." he said as he laughed and pointed a sword at my chest. Even though I am immortal, this sword had the capacity of killing me because it was made of a special metal that was very rare and this metal I was allergic too as well.
"Yes, in fact you won't kill me because you need my help to make that item for the deadly curse." I replied smirking. "That is true but I only need your powers. I can just change the setting on this sword to make it to take your powers and then I can kill you." he said as a villainous smiling slowly spread across his face. "What if I made a deal with you. If I help you make that item for your curse. You will promise on your life to keep Velda out of all of this." I said as I glanced over at Velda. "Hmm alright. I promise to keep her out." he replied as he still held the pointed end of the sword on my chest.
I was about to get up when I felt something go through my chest. I felt the blood running out of the cut. I place my hand over the cut, and I see Matt laughing. The last thing I remember is Velda kneeling beside me and her arms around my neck. She tried to do several spells for healing but none of them worked. Tears running down Velda's face as she tried so hard. There was a ringing in my ears and everything became blurry. Velda places her hands on mine as I reach out at gently brush her cheek with my other hand while I smile at her. After that everything went black.
