Hudson's POV:

We all exited the tattoo shop.

My fingers are intertwined with Craig's and we swing our arms around like children.

I called the front seat so Mark had to sit in the back.

"Where to now boys?" I ask.

I notice that i've started to pick up on their lingo.

We drive around the town for a little while and the boys show me all of their favourite little places and spots.

After an hour or so I get a call from Aggy.

"Hello?"

"Hi, Hudson. It's Aggy. Um..."

He voice sounds weak and shaky.

My heart starts beating. Something's wrong.

"What is it?" I manage to whisper into the phone.

Craig is giving me concerning looks from behind the wheel.

"It's your Grandmother..... She's had a heart attack. Meet us at the Saskatchewan General Hospital, that's where she's taken. Hurry."

The phone slips from my hand and all the feeling in my body vanishes.

All I can feel is the beat of my heart pounding in my chest.

My eyes swell with tears and I start to panic.

"Drive me to the hospital" I mumble out to Craig.

"The hospital? what's.....oh my god. Is it your Grandmother?"

I nod slowly as the tears start running down my face.

I'm nervous as hell.

She can't leave me yet.

Craig starts speeding down the roads as Mark barks out the directions.

We arrive in around 15 minutes and I fling myself out of the car and into the hospital.

I run towards the front desk.

I give them the name of my Grandmother and they lead me... And Mark and Craig into the emergency wing.

Aggy and Gordo are sitting in the waiting room. They jump to their feet as I approach them.

"What's happening?" I ask.

"Were just waiting on news from the doctor. We don't know anything. We just found her in her room and she was in pain so we called 911, we didn't know where you were."

"I'm so sorry." At this point i'm balling.

It's hard to take in breaths and i'm gasping loudly.

I feel Craig wiggly his fingers into mine in a comforting way and we all sit down to wait for the doctor.

Guilt.

That's all I feel.

This trip was about her, and all I did was run around with a boy.

I should have spent more time with her. I need her.

After a few hours of waiting, the doctor finally emerges.

"Are you the family?" he ask's

"Yes." Gordo answers.

"Well unfortunately - she did suffer a massive heart attack, we tried our best to resuscitate but -" he trailed off. We all knew what he was saying.

She's gone.

My body goes weak.

I crumple into the chair.

Everything goes black.

She's gone.

I didn't even get to say goodbye.
