Hudson POV:
I feel Craig's arm wrap around me.
He scoops me up like a child.
I don't even notice whats happening, everything's a blur.
I get to see her for just a minute and say a few words before they lead us out.
I can't feel my body.
My heart hurts.
It feels like its actually going to explode.
Craig lay's me down in the back of his truck and sits beside me as Mark takes the wheel.
He drives us home.
"Hud's.... Do you want to go into the main house or your cottage."
Craig whispers into my ear.
"My cottage" I say, it's barley audible.
He scoops me up from the back seat again in carry's me into the tiny cottage.
He places me on my bed and tucks me under the covers.
"Stay" I whisper.
"Ok"
He slides under the covers and wraps his strong arms around me.
"I'm sorry Hudson." He says softly.
"I suck with stuff like this... I don't really know what to say or do."
"Just stay with me please, I don't want to be alone" I mumble.
The tears are gone and all I feel is pain.
It's a dark pain.
It covers my whole body, I feel disgusting.
"She loved you" he says
"I should have been their for her the way she was their for me. I'm awful."
I'm starting to drive heave, sucking in lots of air.
"No, she knows how much you cared. Just sleep now ok. The morning we can work everything out." He coos in my ear softly, comfortingly.
"Promise you'll stay?"
"Yeah, i'll stay"
