"What are you DOING out here?!" Claire's uncle spat as he looked down at his dirty, sleeping niece. In an instant, her eyes popped open as she realized that sand had covered her arms, legs, hair, and face. Her clothes were drenched with water, and her hair was damp. The bright sun was beating down on them both, while also making the air crisp and hot. Her uncle had worn his normal blue T-shirt with a pair of battered shorts. "Oh, well I... I wanted to catch a glimpse of the water today! It's really pretty... I even took a dip for a little bit!" She shouted, jumping up from the pile of sand she had been nestled in for hours. "Well, I'd love to believe that story, but you see... why not just go out the front door?" Her uncle tapped his foot on the ground patiently, waiting for an answer. "What do you mean?" She asked, still shocked from her rude awakening. "Your window was left open overnight, you know? And when I got up this morning to go for a stroll, I found you here." He looked at her without a single move, waiting for her to give in. She couldn't take the pressure any longer; cowering at the feet of her intimidating uncle, she muttered under her breath, "Okay, okay, I snuck out... what are you gonna do? We are isolated out here, you know." But her uncle only smiled, proudly looking up at the sky in admiration of his actions and persuasive words. "You, my friend," he said, "Are going to school!"
