After pondering what her uncle said, Clair thought also on how this would work. She didn't like the idea of going to school, since she hadn't gone since the accident. Even at that time, she really hadn't liked school. The bell ringing to tell you what to do, the gossip clinging onto air, as if you needed it to survive, and the constant feeling that you're doing something wrong. It didn't suite Clair, but the beach always had. She was on her bed, then rolled from it and off onto the floor, still thinking. It's only for one semester, she thought silently, playing with her hair with one finger. Shaking the thoughts from her head, she jumped up and looked outside her window. To her surprise, the wind was picking up, blowing against her window intensely. It was very dark outside, but she could still make out the distant ocean and her uncle's spare truck. In fact, her uncle said that when she turned 17, he would let her drive it. Of course, she was 16, so it wouldn't be too far away. Her birthday was March, the month at the moment was January, but she was still going to have to wait 2 months until she could drive the bulky truck. While looking away to peer at the clock (it was 10:02) when there was a hissing sound outside her window. Instantly, she peered out her window, and saw something that startled her; there was a dark figure standing by the side of the house, a bike also parked on the shoreline. The figure was holding something in their left hand, and were concentrating on the wall. She wanted to see what they were doing, but she also was afraid by it. No one had ever trespassed the beach, even before she lived there. While looking at the figure, Clair noticed that they were swaying their left had swiftly, parallel to the wall. A spray of red came from out of the object and into the wall, in a long stripe. Spray paint! Clair thought, anger forming inside of her. Startled, she unlocked her window with a click, opening it, then sticking her head out of it. "HEY!!!" She shouted, while the figure turned their head. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING OUT HERE?!?"
