The moment had been lying in the air for a few seconds, and Tom's heart had been racing since then. He was waiting by the school entrance, sitting on a bench with a bunch of flowers clasped in his hands. He had known Olivia for many years, and they had a very "special" relationship. To put it in words seemed impossible for him to do. She had told him to wait by the school bench, and that's exactly what he did. The bell had rang about 10 minutes ago, but he was still positive she would come. "I'm gonna ask her out." He thought silently in his head. Olivia had a very odd way of showing Tom that she loved him. Constantly pestering, she would push him onto the hallway floor, or grab him by his backpack and shove him forward. But even then, it seemed to always be in a loving manner. Mischievous as he was, the flowers he had in his hand were from Ms. Raphsey's desk. She hadn't noticed him swipe the red roses out of her glass vase, but even then she wouldn't have cared. Tom was the type to never change the way he was for someone, except Olivia of course. Olivia was very beautiful, with blond hair and green eyes, she was a treasure. He suddenly heard footsteps coming down the pathway from the school. He turned quickly to see who it was, but tensed with his mouth open in utter shock. It was Olivia, that he knew for sure, but she wasn't the only one. Walking next to her was the school jock, Jay, with a smirk lining his smile. They strolled in unison towards the measly bench, then stopped at Tom's feet. Suddenly, Olivia and Tom locked eyes, and suddenly she grinned. "Did you really think I would EVER like you? You must be an idiot." She then looked down and saw the flowers that he held in his hands, and paused. Instantly, Jay snatched the bouquet of flowers from his trembling hands, and held them up to Olivia's stunned face. Openly, she then turned to Jay and stared into his gleaming blue eyes. "Thanks, bae." Tom only stared at them both, bewildered by what was happening. "Sorry, Tom. But you're time with me is over." As they strolled away laughing, the anger inside him rose. He stood up furiously, shaking in rage. "You think you can get AWAY with this?!?"
