Before I start this chapter, I want to give a big thanks to unitedman101 for helping me with this chapter, and a new character.
"Sooo I'm just asking if you are okay with all this." I watched my parents wide eyed looks. I had just came home, and asked them about Richard. I had a feeling this wasn't going to go well. Maybe I should start from when I came home.
Flashback
"Mom! Dad! I'm home!", I yelled while walking into my house.
"Hi Marshal! We're in the living room!", my mom yelled back. I quickly but slowly walked into the room.
"Hey. There's something I need to tell you." I winced, since I sounded so unsure of myself. That wasn't what I was going for. My parents noticed the tone of my voice too, for they looked at me in concern.
"Is everything okay, Marshal?", my dad asked.
"Yeah, yeah. Everything's fine.", I told them reassuringly.
"Okay, whatever you say. What is it that you need to tell us?"
"Well, how do I put this? Um... I... Imaybeengagedtoaguy.", I rushed at once, wanting to get it off my chest.
"What was that again?", mom asked with a confused expression.
"I said that I may be engaged with a guy." I bit my lip waiting for their responses.
End Flashback
So here I was waiting for my parents to speak. They were both looking me up and down. I looked down to see that I was taping my pants with the tips of my fingers. I hward my parents cough for my attention, and snapped my head back to look at them.
"Don't worry sweety, we're not mad. We actually could tell that there was something going on with you. We were starting to think you were gay, because your now a senior and still didn't have a girlfriend. This explains everything.", my mom explained to me. She gave me smile after talking. I searched their wyes to see if everything was truly alright, and I saw that it was.
"Go talk to Richard. The both of you can go hang out.", dad spoke.
"Ok. I love you guys." I waved good bye to my parents on the way out the door.
"Hey Marshal. I was just going to your house." Richard was walking in his yard when I came up to his house.
"How'd it go with your folks, and I see that you're not physically hurt.", he spoke while looking me up and down.
"It went better than I expected, and I know how to take care of myself, Richard. I don't need a second mother." Richard snorted at my words.
"Yeah, whatever." He waved his hand dismissively and asked," Hey, do you want to go somewhere tonight?"
"Sure, where?"
"It's a surprise."
"Okay. What do you want to do in the meantime?"
"Wander the streets with my favorite person" We both set off downtown.
A few hours later
Richard led me down to some type of club. As we were walking up to the front doors, a man came walking out. At least I thought it was a he. They had huge muscles, and they looked like they would be a good fighter. But they were wearing a deep blue dress that stopped just before the knee. I just want to say, yikes! I will never get the image out of my head. I looked closer, and saw that it looked like they were flats. And it's the type of boots women wear. They looked to be about 6'3" with the boots. The person's hair was blond, and went down to their shoulders. The hair was loose and flowing.
I suddenly felt a pain in my side. I looked over at Richard to see him frowning at me. I turned my attention back over to the person, watching them walk over to us. As the man/woman neared us, I saw that it was infect a man wearing woman cloths.
"Hello there. Are you Richard and Marshal?", the person asked in a falsetto voice once they reached us. I somehow managed to keep myself from throwing up in my mouth. I don't know why I was feeling and acting like this. It was a little unusual for me, all well.
"Yeah, why?", Richard asked the man nonchalantly.
"I heard you were coming to this here club, and I've seen you walking around town with this young man next to ya." He pointed to me when he said 'this here young man'.
"And why is that so important?" Richard leaned a little forward staring the stranger dead in the eyes.
"Because it's my business." The man mimicked Richard's moves while also staring back at Richard, but not as seriously.
"What makes it your business, hm?"
"I run this bar, so it's my job to know whos coming in, and what they're like. So quit asking questions unless you want to get on my bad side.", the man threatened. He was still talking in his feminine voice.
"Ok mister..."
"Jack Lake."
"Ok mister Jack Lake. May we come in?"
"Sure, why of course." I felt as if they had forgotten about little old me by the way they were conversing. Jack then started walking away, moving his hand in a 'follow me this way, please' gesture. I watched Richard follow, and move away as if I was invisible. That kind of made me upset until he turned around looking at me. He waved his arm at me impatiently. I felt a little relieved to be noticed, but I didn't know how I really felt.
"So do you do anything else, but run this club?", I questioned the man once I caught up to them.
"Yeah, if you count the fact that I'm a role model for the gays, the lesbians, the bis, and the trans genders.", he answered pounding his chest.
"Not what I meant, but okay.", I responded. I looked at him curiously.
"Than what did you mean?", Jack asked a few minutes later. We were now walking through a series of confusing tunnels.
"I meant if you had any other job, like teaching, or construction worker. Or maybe a librarian."
"Oh. No, I sleep during the day. I'm like a night creature, sleep during the day awake at night." I nodded my head to his explanation. I heard music as we got closer to the actual party. I can see why this would still be in business, its so confusing to an outsider. The cops would get lost unless this place was here when they were still in the parting mood.
