I felt my eyes flutter open when I heard a soft knocking on the door
"Marshal, it's time for you to get up. It's your big day today." I heard Jack say through the door. I felt my heart beat stop when I remembered what today was. Richard and I are going to get married. It honestly didn't even fell real. I felt like I was dreaming. I need to quickly pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming. Ouch! Yep, definitely not a dream.
"Marshal! You alive in there!" Jake yelled. Shoot, I forgot Jack was still there.
"Yeah, Jack! I'm still alive" I yelled back.
"Then get a move on. There's only a few more hours before you need to be there. There is also still more work that needs to be done."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm coming, I'm coming. No need to get your panties in a twist." I heard Jack chuckle at my choice of words as I threw the sheets and blankets off my body. I stood up and stretched my limbs out. I still felt tried. I had a hard time going to sleep last night, since they wouldn't let Richard and I sleep together. I feel so lonely without him, and I won't be seeing him until the wedding. I can't wait 'till I'm in his arms again.
I walked over to the door to open it. The first thing I see is an impatient Jack tapping his foot. He had his arms crossed over his muscular chest. Today he was wearing a white sunflower dress that stopped just above his knees. He had a black leather jacket on. The jacket was designed so that it stopped half way down of his upper body. He had white knee high boots on with a one inch heel making his already tall frame even taller. His blond hair was hanging down to his shoulders, and he had a white hairband in keeping his hair out of his face. His summer green grass looking eyes held impatience in them. His eyes were slanted down so that he was glaring at me. I looked up at him and gave him a cheeky smile.
"So what are the plans for today besides me getting married?" I asked him. He let out a heavy sigh and his eyes showed his disappointment. I cocked my head to the side and stared at him blankly. We just stared at each other with unblinking eyes for a few minutes. Jack finally closed his eyes with another heavy sigh. He hung his head down and rubbed his eyes.
"Soooo, are you going to answer my question or, are you just going to keep yelling at me in your head?" I asked him after a couple more minutes of silence. Jack gave out a small chuckle and just shook his head slowly. Now I'm starting to get impatient. I will lock him in a closet to get him to talk if need be or, I could poke him in the eyes. Hmmm, yeah I'll do just that, I'll poke him in the eyes. Sounds perfect to me.
"We need to finish decorating the building and finish the cake." Jack finally says and snaps me out of my thoughts.
"Isn't Richard and the twins going to finish the decorations while you and me finish the cake?" I ask with my head slightly tilted sideways.
"That is exactly what is going to happen. Richard and the twins already left with the rest of the decorations about four hours ago."
"Four hours ago? What time is it?"
"It's 12 in the after noon. Medderin also went with them with Richard's clothes. Richard is just going to get ready there." I nodded my head at the information that is being thrown at me.
"We should probably head to the kitchen instead of standing in front of the bedroom. Don't you think Jack?"
"You're probably right."
"Of course I am, now come on." We head down the stairs and walk into the kitchen. Earlier when Jack said we had to finish the cake, he actually meant that we still have to make it. Good thing the wedding isn't until six. That gives us six hours to make the cake, get me ready, and head over to the building. We of course aren't the only ones that were on the rush of finishing. Nobody even started on decorating the church until four hours ago.
Jack and I walk over to the kitchen sink and quickly wash our hands. We put on aprons so we don't ruin our clothes to much. Jack has a full body apron on, and I just have a half one on. They both have a front pocket and are both a brilliant clean white. I don't think they will be white for long.
I walk over to a cupboard and pull out full different sized round cake pans. Jack pulls out the needed ingredients to make a vanilla cake. We are also going to use white frosting. We pour the ingredients into the four pans. We do the four parts of the cake one at a time since the oven can only hold one cake pan at a time. We put the pans in the fridge to cool down before we decorate it. I look at the time to see that three hours have already gone by. It looks like we are still doing good on time. We also haven't made a big mess, which is good.
The timer goes off telling us that it's time to pull the pans out of the fridge. We get the dish filled with vanilla frosting and a spatula. We spread the frosting over the cake and stack up the four layers. We put some of the white frosting in a plastic bag and cut off the corner. We start to make a simple design on the cake with the frosting. The cake didn't need to look to extravagant. We quickly finish decorating the cake, and put it in a gigantic box. We clean up the mess we made which doesn't take to long. I look at the clock and see that there are still two hours left.
"I'm going to go get ready for the wedding. It should only take an hour max." I tell Jack. Jack just waved me off. I quickly headed up stairs to get ready.
