ALL THE TAG CHALLENGES....

Half a month is gone... might as well update on it

Okay so... I didn't put up a highlight medley or a flashback of my old year and my new year...
... mainly because I wanted to wait until the month ended.

But you know what? I was so inspired and hyped up yesterday, I figure, screw it.

Okay so... to recap on 2017... FOR ME...

It was actually a fantastic year.

I know 2017 was mostly a CRAPPY year for most people, and considering all the worldwide weather and murder and other crap that happened (and the fact that Trump is still alive AND president of the U.S) I can relate to it on a social level.

But my personal life, I didn't really hate 2017. TBH I think it's going to be my favourite year so far.

First off, I switched subject streams from my parents' pre planned Local Science to British Curriculum Commerce & Arts, this starting a set of subjects that I actually AM passionate about (but I did love BIOLOGY, nothing else).

In February, I first got into KPop and over the months, I have evolved into a fully fledged (stated in order of... fledging) ARMY, Starlight, Carat, EXO-L, and (still lowkey on this one coz i havent had too much time to check them out) Aroha.
I have gone through 2 VIXX related comebacks, 1 BTS comeback, 2 (or 3, coz of the repackaged The War album) EXO comebacks, 1 SEVENTEEN comeback (BAKSU!!!), and I kinda sailed past the comeback of Crazy, Sexy, Cool but since it's one of my favourite songs, it counts too.

Some time in February - March, I met ETERNAL_VOODOO_DOLL and we made friends in... the WEIRDEST way (#noregrets), as well as I REUNITED with one of my earlier best friends Miyuki_Sakurai and we pushed past whatever distaste we had for each other and became friends again.
These two have become my besties in more ways than one, and they have livened up my life in more ways than one, and I am honestly grateful for meeting them.
I love you two.

I got my GCE OL results in 2017 April (something I had been dreading all throughout December to April) with all A's. That was SUCH a relief!!!

In connection to that, as a reward, my dad had been saving up since I started my GCE year and took me on a week's trip to Europe, with 2 days in Paris, 2 in Geneva, and 3 in Italy! It was so beautiful there with storybook green and vibrant sceneries and the bustling cities and the amazing monuments (I was up in the Eiffel Tower people!!!) and I got to mnavigate through metro lines and go in bullet trains with this big husky-wolf-BEAR whatever dog sleeping under the seat next to mine and sure we didnt get to go to the top of the Chamonix mountains coz of the rain... but agh, that trip was so much fun! The memory of fresh French chocolate croissants will forever make my mouth water.
Also, it was on a 7-hour speed train trip from Paris to Geneva that I used my laptop in the train,
1) I finally got time to listen and see the lyrics of Spring Day and FELL IN LOVE WITH THAT SONG
2) I got to start watching Goblin which will forever be THE BEST DRAMA IN THE WORLD.

I got to start going to classes with teachers that teach well and that I love and that have super fun classes, with either crazy students or free food or with my friends or what have you.

I met my Psychology tuition teacher, who is just two years older than me i.e. 19, and is on her last year of uni completing a Psych degree, passed her IALs by self study, is a head of Social Media in the MUN in our country, an instagram personality, a freelance writer, and a food blogger.
She is such a fun person to learn under coz she makes the lessons interesting and since she's in a close age to mine, it's easier to talk with her, and she (also gives me low self-esteem but whatever) inspires me day by day. I also started learning with jlover_lovatic under that teacher so yeah... FUN!

I got good grades in the term exam in November, this getting my family off my back about studying and all that.

So yeah, those were the positives.

It fell down a little in December when,
1) Aviana_Kaider told me her decision to leave school from 2018 onwards
2) Jonghyun passed away, which still causes me emotional distraught.

2018? So far, NOT A FAN

Wattpad keeps crashing i.e. one of my favourite apps with almost all my social life and friends is CRASHING

The teacher from my favourite extracurricular class where I learn French suddenly decided to leave the country, so the institution switched me to another class, which is the most goddamn boring class in the world. So now I don't look forward to French class anymore.

My IAL AS exams are charging at me

Following on that, there is a timetable clash of subjects in the AS for me which I am worrying over

No matter how much I work, I canNOT seem to stick to any deadlines on my projects

ON THE OTHER HAND, THE POSITIVES;

I actually successfully wrote and uploaded a few chapters in both my books on Wattpad

I still love all my subjects and their content

I still have my other two besties sticking with me

And yesterday, I had this Careers Program at my school where I listened to so many inspirational speakers like Otara and Alyna Omar and listened to the most interesting panel discussions and it really inspired me and reduced my worries about my future career choices

It's basically what made me want to write this chapter

So basically, I don't know how well this year will treat me, but I have hope in the year and IN ME TO TURN THIS YEAR AROUND
