A Few Topics Of Discussion

Hi, so yeah... I'm back again, and I'm once again going to be blabbering about Jonghyun, because apparently, I can't let go.
But as I said before, these are the final three updates about Jonghyun, before my tag book returns to its normal state.

I want to discuss a numerous amount of topics, first of which being, the highly controversial article in The Guardian about Jonghyun's passing.

For anyone who read that article - of which I do not remember the name, something about "KPop star dies amidst unforgiving Korean entertainment industry" or something like that - you would know that this article highly criticized the fitness and practice regiments and overall everything about the KPop industries.

Personally, I was NOT a fan of that article. It was much too highly critical, and it seemed once again, like the Western community was just trying to find multiple reasons to bring down the much more successful Korean entertainment companies.

Though I wouldn't mind if they ever brought SM down, coz SM treats their idols like crap and SM deserves to burn in the fiery pits of hell.

However, there are parts of the article that carry a pretty accurate factual basis.

It is well known that, not in a racial aspect of course, East Asian countries tend to be highly competitive with one another and within themselves

And yes, it is estimated that the highest suicide rate in the world is from South Korea.

However, I wouldn't bring up Roh Moo-hyun or business executives, because well... that,

1) Is not related to the entertainment industry

2) And who knows what reasons they killed themselves for? Knowing the world's of politics and business, I believe there are many things that can drive a person to death.
(P.S. I have done no research about these individuals, so I don't know whether they left their reasons for killing themselves, but I'm just trying to only relate to the entertainment industry right now)

But yes, Korea - both North and South - are known for being quite serious in their country's successes. And yes, they can be overwhelmingly strict on it.

Even when picturing the KPop industry, I'm sure most of us know about BTS Jimin's almost hazardously dangerous dieting regimen a while back, and how most bands practice for over ten hours on end.

They are also not allowed to engage in romantic relationships (which, as a petty possessive and jealous fan, I have no objection for, but it could be upsetting for girls and boys in their twenties not to be able to have normal relationships).

But, once again, we have to consider some things. Some idols have claimed they don't want a relationship, some have claimed that they prefer to be dedicated to their fans.

And the extremely lengthy practice sessions are mostly nowadays, by the choice of the group themselves, in order to (*heartwarming alert*) make sure their fans get the best performance. (e.g. Kai bursting into tears after one performance, because he believed that he had make a few mistakes and disappointed his EXO-Ls, even though in reality, the EXO-Ls hadn't even noticed the said mistakes)
