We woke up the next morning and packed up camp. We threw dirt on the fire and started walking. Lillipup was still wrapped up in my arms. With Emolga's help we found the path quickly.
"So are you planning on catching Lillipup?" Travis asked.
"I want to, but I don't know how Lillipup feels," I replied. Lillipup looked up at me with a slight smile. I smiled back. I wondered if he really did want to travel with us.
"It'll be nice to have a new Pokemon in the family," Sophia said like she was sure Lillipup wanted to join.
As soon as she said that, Accumula Town appeared on the horizon. We all smiled at each other and started running towards it. In a little less than three minutes we made it there. We rushed through the stone town to the Pokemon Center.
The doors slide open and we went to Nurse Joy's counter.
"This Lillipup's leg is injured and needs quick attention!" I yelled.
The nurse seemed unfazed about my sudden uproar. "I'll take him," she said then took Lillipup from my arms and went into a back room.
About ten minutes later she came out with Lillipup. His leg was stitched up. We looked at her expectantly.
"It was nothing really serious, just a cut," she said. The way I remember it, it was a gash. Maybe it had healed a little overnight?
"Thanks for your help Nurse Joy, and we don't mean to bother you more but could you heal our Pokemon as well?" Sophia asked.
Nurse Joy served a smile and nodded. I returned Emolga and she took our Pokeballs into the backroom. Pokemon in Pokeballs must be easier to heal because she came back out in less than 30 seconds. I let Emolga back out and we found a seat to sit at near the front window and ordered some food and a bag of Funyuns.
"So, Lillipup," I said first thing, "We'd love to have you in our little family, so would you like to be a part of my team?"
He looked like I was crazy for a second, then jumped on me and started licking. Obviously his leg felt a lot better. I took that as a yes then got up to buy a Pokeball for him.
I reached the counter and payed for a few Pokeballs. When I got back to our seat, I set one on the table. Lillipup touched the button in the middle. It opened up and he was sucked into the Pokeball with a flash of red light. The ball shook for a few seconds, then stopped.
I let Lillipup out, this time the light being white. He went to sit over by the window and watch the people pass by.
"So, you guys know about me, what about you guys?" Sophia asked.
"You really want to know about the boring lives of city kids like us?" Travis said sarcastically.
"Yes. I've only lived in towns. It'd be nice to know what the city is like," Sophia replied, not noticing the sarcasm.
"Well living in the city is kind of fun. It just depends on what's going on. Sometimes there'll be a famous band playing, sometimes it'll be a city-wide carnival, and sometimes it'll simply be a small Pokemon giveaway," I said.
"That's the public stuff though. The real stuff is what happens indoors. Sometimes not even actually happening. One time in this dream I had, the famous Professor Oak asked me if I was a boy or a girl. I was in my bed and it was really weird," Travis said while laughing. We all also laughed.
"Well the city sounds better than a town," Sophia stated.
"No the town sounds a lot better, and a lot quieter. It'll be more fun wishing you could meet celebrities rather than running into them on the street. I once found Kalos Region Champion Diantha at the art museum in Castelia. I avoided her as much as possible so I can meet her when we challenge her in the Kalos Pokemon League," I said.
