Always wanted to know the truth behind Loki's hatred toward his brother and father? Loki has a perfect, happy second life on Earth, pretending to be a mortal so he can be with Jane. Unfortunately, Odin has other plans for Jane Foster; she needs to c...
After Jane had hit Thor with her car again, they found themselves back in the lab, where the God of Thunder was changing into human clothes. He stood in the bathroom, topless, searching for a shirt, and Jane and Darcy could see his reflection in the mirror. The muscles on his torso were impressive—far more defined than any man she had known. John had been fit, but he was slim and nowhere near as heavily built as Thor.
"You know, for a crazy homeless person, he's pretty cut," Darcy remarked, eyeing Thor's physique with open admiration. Jane paced back and forth, pretending to be with her nose in a book, but she couldn't help stealing glances at Thor herself. Despite her best efforts to ignore it, the sight of him was stirring something within her, a reminder of her long absence from intimacy.
"Sorry I tased you!" Darcy called out cheerfully as Thor emerged from the bathroom, a shirt in hand. The blond man didn't respond; instead, he turned his attention to the scientific equipment scattered around the lab, curiosity lighting his features.
"Excuse me, excuse me!" Jane exclaimed, rushing toward him to retrieve the equipment he was about to handle. She snatched it from his grasp, her heart racing as she realized just how close she was standing to his bare upper body. Heat crept into her cheeks, and she quickly backed away, embarrassed by her lingering gaze. Refocusing on her notebook, she tried to regain her composure.
"What is this?" Thor asked, inspecting the shirt with a sticker attached that read "John McKenzie."
"Oh," Jane breathed, ripping the label off with a nervous laugh. "My ex." The mention of John brought a wave of mixed emotions, and she clicked her tongue, frustrated at the memories. "He left me everything he owned," she added, the embarrassment washing over her. She stopped when she noticed Thor's puzzled expression. "Aaah..." She shook her head, trying to brush away the memories. "They were the only clothes I had that would fit you." Surprisingly, she was relieved she hadn't burned the clothes yet. She had been unsure of what to do with his old suits, shirts, and jeans, hesitating to let go of what was left of their life together, taking them with her.
"They are a bit tight," Thor observed, glancing down at the shirt, "but they will suffice." He brushed past her, oblivious to her offended frown. Okay, no thank you, Jane thought, rolling her eyes. "You're welcome," she muttered under her breath, but Thor didn't seem to catch her sarcasm.
"This mortal form has grown weak. I need sustenance!" he declared, his voice booming through the lab.
Jane exchanged annoyed glances with Darcy, both of them perplexed by Thor's dramatic flair as they began rummaging through the lab for something to eat. "Right, what the hell is his problem?" Jane whispered to Darcy, who shrugged in response, her expression equally bemused. ________

"I never get used to seeing him like this," Loki said, sorrowful and guilt-ridden, as he sat beside his father's bed, where Odin lay motionless, his body in a deep, restorative slumber known as the Odinsleep. "The most powerful being in the Nine Realms lying helpless until his body is restored."
