Levi’s Pov
Levi sighs as he turns the last corner to his own apartment. Work had been hard since the debacle in the car with Sophia and her brat, Benjamin. He still was kicking himself over what he said, he didn’t even know why he blurted that out but what surprised him even more was that Benjamin even said good-bye to him. Did that kid understand what he was saying and seek to prove him wrong or did the child start to get over his fear of him?
Parking his car he kills the engine and pulls it out of the ignition. Locking his car behind him Levi walks through the front doors of Park Place Towers and tosses a tip to the doorman, vultures really. Moving silently through the lobby he’s almost to the elevator when a familiar annoyance showed up.
“H-hi there Levi.” Petra stutters.
“Hello.”
They both crowd into the elevator and Levi hits the twenty-fifth floor button. Petra hits the thirteenth and Levi feels a sense of relief; he won’t have to deal with her for long. Standing back and staring out at the door he blocks out her useless chattering. It was already bad enough that he had to deal with her puppy looks in the office all the time but the fact that she lived with him as well was… well he wasn’t happy with it.
“So how are you today? I thought you had to stay late at the office?” She technically wasn’t wrong.
After Levi got back into the office from dropping Sophia and her br-er- Benjamin off at their apartment he’d realized that he spent more time away than he thought for lunch. He threw himself into his work and found that he was unused to having so many articles to go through. He never actually realized how many articles Sophia took on and proofed until she was gone for these two days. It’d taken him longer than before but he managed to get all of the articles done and sent off.
“Finished early.”
“Oh.”
They lapsed into silence again. Levi allowed himself to relax a little as the floors ticked by. Luckily in this apartment building there was no annoying elevator music. The eleventh floor ticked by, almost there…
“Uhm… Levi-.”
“Mr.Rivalle.” He shoots back.
“Mr. Rivaille, what do you think of Sophia?”
“Tch, why do you want to know?”
“Well… it’s just I was thinking that she’s causing such a problem and all and…”
“Get on with it.” He says.
Petra takes a moment, “I was thinking that we could perhaps go to Mr.Smith and petition to get her… either removed or moved out of the office floor.”
Levi turns and fixes her in his gaze, “Why?”
She flinches, “Well… I mean she… is always giving you trouble-.”
“She’s a single mother living here and she’s known Erwin longer than either you or I. Stop using your emotions and start thinking with your head.” He snaps.
The door clicks open and Petra rushes out of the elevator, her head held down. He knows he was harsh on her but she wasn’t thinking with her head. Levi isn’t stupid, he knew that Petra had feelings for him and saw Sophia as a threat. It was stupid, considering he and Sophia didn’t get along. The elevator finally makes it to his floor and Levi steps out. Going to the third door on the right he unlocks it and steps inside.
His apartment is sparsely furnished with only the necessities and a picture or two on the walls. The dining area and kitchen were the first things people saw when they move in. It was really just a nice mahogany table with four chairs around it. The kitchen really was fairly small with a stove, countertops and a fridge and sink. Walking on further he gets to his living room which has a wrap around couch in the corner by the window with a matching foot stool and a coffee table. There’s an entertainment set on the opposite side of the wall. His bedroom door is next to the wall with the entertainment set and the second bedroom is just around the corner of the wall with the couch.
