46. Lost trust

Taehyung's p.o.v.

After slamming the door behind her the room fell silent.
Even though Hyoju wiped my tears they were still falling.

"Taehyung..." I looked up to see Jungkook slowly coming over to me.

"Stop it right there, mister." Jane stood in front of me in an protective way.
"Hyoju told me to not let anyone near him. He has to come to you himself. She said that if anyone of you forces themselves on him she'll break your nose."

I smiled lightly.
Hyoju knew what was best for me.
She was the best friend I could wish for.

"As if she would break my nose." Jungkook scoffed and tried getting up from the benches but he was stopped by a hand on his wrist.

"Sit the fuck down if you value your nose." Yoongi Hyung said, not looking up from the floor.

"Hyung?" Jungkook sounded kinda scared.

"She actually broke Lisa's nose." He said and everyone turned to him.

"You actually were with that bitch!? You know what she did to Hyoju!" Jin Hyung exclaimed.

"Wait-she actually broke her nose?!" Jane panicked. "No. No. She's in big trouble. Lisa will do anything to get her kicked out of school now." She started to pace around.

"Hyung, how could you do this to Hyoju?" Jimin asked.

"Shut up Jimin, it's not like you didn't believe the video yourself." Yoongi spat through his gritted teeth.

"We just have to apologize, right?" Hoseok seemed unconvinced. "We need to make her see that we regret this, right?"

I looked up at him.
"She won't forgive you guys." I stated and they all looked at me. "She said that a sorry won't turn everything back to normal. Especially not with Yoongi Hyung."
I turned to look at him.
"Calling her slut, whore and whatnot and then what you almost did with Lisa, she'll probably never forgive you. I don't know about the others, maybe she'll forgive them after some time, but not you Hyung. You fucked up big."

I looked at everyone again. "Even if she forgives you, she will never forget and that already shows that this won't be the friendship we once had."

"Taehyung..." Jungkook looked at me with guilt in his eyes.

I shook my head. "I see it like her. I know that I'll probably forgive you guys in less than a week but all of you have lost my trust. You haven't believed your best friend and that hurts."

I stood up and walked over to Jane that was still mumbling things about Hyoju getting in trouble.
I placed my hands on her shoulders and she stopped.
While she looked up at me she mumbled.
"Hyoju is going to get expelled."

I shook my head.
"We'll help her out of this. We'll bring Lisa down and Hyoju will come out as the winner."
Jane nodded and smiled.

"Where is she by the way?" I asked Jane.

"She went to the basketball court to talk to the girls in the video." Jane answered.
I let go of her and made my way to the door, but she grabbed my hand.
"Leave it to her. She got this. She said that all you have to do is to figure out what you want to do now."
She glanced at the guys.

"Your job is to find out if you want to go back to them and give them back your trust or drop them completely like her." Jane sighed. "Like she said, no matter what you choose, she'll be always there for you, she'll never betray you and same goes for me. I'm going to stay by her side and leave you guys if that's what she wants."

"What?! Why?!" Namjoon stood up and looked offended.

"I only stayed with you guys for the past week to find out everything about that video. Otherwise I wouldn't have been by your side. I only did this for Hyoju, she's the reason I met you guys anyways, so I can't just take her place and be a replacement for you guys."
After what Jane said everyone went quiet again.

"Taehyung..." Jungkook called my name again for the fourth time today.
I turned to him, seeing tears roll down his cheeks.

"I love you Junkook, but you broke my heart. I loved all of you but you broke the trust I had put in you." I could feel the tears well up in my eyes. "Even though I will forgive you, like I already said, I don't think that our friendship will become what it was once."

I wiped the tears away that slipped and turned to Jane. "I'm going home."

"I'll walk you there, Hyoju's orders." She smiled at me and I nodded with a chuckle.

Hyoju is way too over protective over me, but I can't blame her. She saw how hurt I was and that probably woke the protectiveness in her.

I walked out of the old gym with Jane without a second glance at the boys and walked home, laughing at the attempts of Jane trying to cheer me up.

Hyoju and Jane are wonderful people who deserve all the love of this world.
It makes me sad, knowing that Hyung has hurt her this much.

I even believe that she is more hurt than me but she never let's it out. She bottles it up to look like a strong person.
And when it gets too much she explodes, just like she did earlier.

I'm kind of happy that she lashed out on them, they deserved it for what they did to her.
Not only did they, including me, ruin her life in the beginning when she came, but we were never thankful enough for what she did for us.

Thanks to her the rumors disappeared.
Thanks to her we became popular.
Thanks to her we didn't need to pretend anymore.
Thanks to her we were able to be ourselves.

Everything was thanks to her and all we did was take it for granted.

She did all of that because she loved us, because she trusted us but after that video, she got broken.

I'm pretty sure that she regrets everything she has done for us.
After seeing how little trust they had in her, she got broken.
Because of the guys not believing her, because of Hyung not believing her, she started to fall apart, but she would never show it.

She was Hyoju.
As if she would show us her sadness.
She was always the most mature one, she would always be the one to cheer us up and be the one to protect us.

She was like a mother and a best friend at the same time.
She was almost like a goddess to us.

But because of the guys not believing her, she was broken.
She would never be the same again.

She would never become the cheery person again she once was.
