Patience in Ramadan

Patience is another virtue that is highly favored by Allah, having patience shows that your trust is wholly in Allah and Allah only. So what is patience in Ramadan?

Having patience in Ramadan means controlling your want for food and drink (not moaning about how hungry or thirsty you are); this also means that we must take the time to pray nafel or Sunnah prayers and recite the Qur'an during Ramadan.

Evidence:

Allah say's in the holy Qur'an in Surat al Talaq ayah 7: Allah puts no burden on any person beyond what He has given him. After a difficulty, Allah will soon grant relief.

This means that Allah will not burden you with a task that is to great for you, so if you put an honest effort forward then Allah will help you overcome your difficulty.

In a hadith narrated by Sad'd bin Malik the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: (Whatever I have I will not hold or refuse to give it to you; whoever does not ask others and is content with what he has, Allah will make him self-sufficient; and whoever depends on himself, Allah will enrich him; and whoever patiently persevere, Allah will grant him the ability to be patient; No one was given a gift better or more encompassing than the gift of patience)

Patience can be a hard thing to acquire and keep, just remember that Allah loves to hear the prayers of his slaves so ask Allah every day to increase your patience. I conclude with a hadith: The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: The fast of Ramadan, which is the month of patience, and the fast of three days of each month, clean all evils in the heart.
