Abby's POV It's been three weeks since I was released from the hospital and I am back to my normal schedule, but not really. Yes, I am back to school but I have also been spending more time with Auston. Right now I am with him on a walk. Yesterday the boys had a rough loss against the Senator's and now they are on there bye week and we are going to Cancùn for the week, but I know that Auston is taking this loss hard and he needs to blow off some steam before we go on a very long plane ride. We walk in silence until Auston looks at me,
"I sucked last night," he said looking right at me,
"Aust" I raise my eyebrows,
"Don't Aust me, Abby, I sucked last night and I know that you don't need to give me some fake reason why we sucked last night,"
"Do you want me to be honest?" he nods, I continue walking and he follows behind me,
"Well it seemed like you guys had zero inspiration and that you all were on vacation," he looked at me,
"That's why I like having you as a girlfriend you tell me the truth and don't sugar coat it," I raise my eyebrows
"Girlfriend?" his eyes widen,
"Shit did I say, girlfriend, I meant best friend. Ugh, I just fucked up didn't I," I giggle and smile,
"well, Mr.Matthews do you have a question for me?" he laughs,
"Since you're asking, Abby Marner will you be my girlfriend?"
"Of course Mr.Matthews," He smiles and leans in, and before I know it we are kissing. I instantly feel the fireworks going off. I pull away and he grabs my hand and we continue walking. Soon we arrive back at my apartment,
"I will see you tonight at the airport," he says kissing me,
"Can we not tell anyone? I don't want Mitch to be mad the whole trip," He smiles and nods,
"If that is what you want Abs," I smile and peck his lips and head inside. As soon as I enter the apartment I smell something amazing coming from the kitchen. Suprised I walk in to see Mitch and Steph baking cookies, we exchanged hellos and I went up to my room. I quickly made sure I have everything packed. I triple check all of my diabetes supplies and make sure I have everything I need. Ever since the accident, my anxiety has been pretty bad, and I've been very very obsessed with checking my numbers. I check them and do what I need to do, I lay on my bed and take a quick nap. I am awakened by a Steph jumping on me yelling,
"WE NEED TO GO SHOPPING NOW!!!" Confused I sit up in bed and she stops jumping,
"I just went through your suitcase, and you need some new cute clothes so we are going shopping." I roll my eyes,
"Really Steph, really?" I raise my eyebrows and roll my eyes. She pulls me out of bed and drags me out of the house.
After hours of Steph dragging me around a mall, we walk out with about 6 bags each. We head out to a little Cafe that Lexi recommended to us called the simple kitchen. I get the avocado toast because Lexi says its to die for and Steph gets some sandwich. I decide to take a picture of the avocado toast and post it on Instagram,

After Steph and I finish up our food we head back to Mitch and me's apartment. I look at the time and see we only have an hour until we needed to leave for the airport, we head up to the apartment and from inside I could hear Mitch and Auston yelling at each other. Steph and I look at each other and immediately start laughing.
"They're ridiculous," she says,
"I can't believe that we like them," we laugh even harder. I open the door and we head inside, still laughing. We head up to my room and Steph begins re-packing my stuff adding the new outfits in. Soon we are all packed in an uber on our way to the airport.
I know this chapter sucks, but the next will be the vacay and stuff like that. Hope you enjoy! ~ Abby R
