Chapter 17

Abby's POV
"UGH" I hear for probably the thousandth time. Auston is trying to do his exercises but it is obviously causing him pain. I take a deep breath and walk into the living room, and sit down.

"Aust, why don't you sit down and take a break," he turns to me and rolls his eyes,

"Abby, do you think I am going to be back on the ice if I don't do my exercises?"

"Auston I know you want to be back on the ice, but you need to take it easy because you don't want to strain your shoulder more." he rolls his eyes again,

"I AM FINE! I DON'T NEED YOUR HELP YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE TO COME BACK FROM AN INJURY THIS SEVERE!!!!" He did not fucking go there.

"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME AUSTON, I HAVE A GIANT AS SCAR ON MY KNEE FROM HOCKEY! IT ENDED MY CAREER, YOU KNOW WHAT YOU OBVIOUSLY DONT WANT MY HELP I AM LEAVING!" I stand up and start heading towards the front door, as I am opening the door I hear Auston say,

"Wait, no Abby please don't leave, I'm sorry," I roll my eyes walk out and shut the door. I head to the elevator and as we are heading down I feel tears coming rolling down my cheeks. I run out of the building and get into my car. I rest my head on the steering wheel and let the tear spill out. I hear a knock on my window and I see Auston standing there with tears spilling out of his eyes. I roll my eyes and turn on my car and pull away leaving Auston alone in the parking lot. I drive towards Mitch and I's apartment hoping that no one is home because I don't want to run into Mitch.I pull into the parking garage and take the back stairs up so I don't see anyone. I walk into the apartment and Mitch is sitting on the couch playing fortnight,

"hey abs! What's up?" I ignore him and walk up to my room. I lay down on my bed face first and let the tears flow again. I hear a knock on my door and I ignore it not wanting to talk to Mitch.

"Come on Abs open up," I roll over and put my face into my pillow and let out a muffled,

"come in," I hear the door open and close. I hear a sigh and then I feel my bed dip,

"You don't need to talk, but please hear me out," I don't respond I just flip over and face Mitch, "you Abby are the most amazing girl and whatever Auston or someone said to you shouldn't affect you this much."

"It was nothing Mitch, can we just watch a movie and cuddle please?" I ask giving him wide eyes, he nods and turns on my tv. We both choose The Mighty Ducks. About halfway both Mitch and I fall asleep.

BING BING

I wake up to my phone indicating that I am getting text messages, I open my eyes to see Mitch is gone. I pick up my phone 4:30, I have a text from Mitch, my dad, Cam, Auston, Rachel, and Steph. I start with Mitch's,

Mitch
Went to practice, I will be home at about 6:00, then the boys are having a team dinner with the WAGS so please talk to Auston because if you don't go, people, will be concerned and I know you don't want to deal with that.

I don't bother replying because he is on the ice,

WHAT THE FUCK DID AUSTON DO? DO I NEED TO COME KICK HIS ASS BACK TO ARIZONA?

I'm fine Cam, Mitch and I watched a movie and talked. I do have to talk to Auston and I am very nervous because he said some rude things. It will be fine though. I love you!

Cam
I am going to kick his ass the next time I see him.

Me
Please don't do that, I will text you tonight after the team dinner if I end up going.

Cam and I text for about ten more minutes than I answer Rachel's text,

Do you want to get together tonight and study for our test and practical tonight?
