Human and Android [Len X Reader Fanfic]

(Y/n) and Len never saw Kaito ever again...
At least, for awhile that is.
(Y/n) called his phone to check up on him, but it would just leave to voicemail.
(Y/n) went to the ice cream parlor everyday, but Kaito wasn't even there in his usual seat.
(Y/n) even went to his apartment...
But no one was there.
It was like he disappeared without a trace, it even felt like he never existed in the first place.
Did her rejection really effect him that much?
Still voicemail...
She sighs and lays on her bed while Len was tuning his piano key guitar, humming.
He turns to her, smiling.

"Hey (Y/n), want to hear me play?"

(Y/n) didn't say anything back, she just lay there, speechless.
Len notices this and pokes her cheek.

"(Y/n)?"
(。･o･｡)

"Oh, you were saying something Len...?"

"Okay, something definitely is wrong with you. Let me scan you to check out your emotions right now"

(Y/n) shakes her head as she stuffs her whole face in her pillow.

"No Len, please...no scan-"

"Scan complete!"

"...seriously?"

Len takes a moment to think before gasping. (Y/n) looks up at him, confused to why he gasped.
Did he know that she was feeling guilty for her rejection to Kaito?
Len puts his hands together as he stares at his creator.

"You...were thinking about that no good Kaito, were you?!"

"...yeah..."

"Aha! He made you upset! I knew he was a bad guy all along! When I get my hands on him, I'm going to make him choke on my-"

(Y/n) quickly covers his mouth, blushing and nervously giggling.
She then whispers to him.

"Len! Language! There's young people reading this book you know! Let's keep this all PG okay?"

"...I was just going to say that he's going to choke on my bananas...sorry (Y/n), sorry Readers out there..."

(Y/n) giggles before placing her hands on her lap, staring at the floor.
Len wasn't half wrong though, she was upset but not because of Kaito, but because of herself.
Len should probably know, he was her friend after all...and someone she really adored.
She nods her head.

"You're right...but Kaito isn't the one to blame, it's me...I made him upset and I feel guilty for it. You see, I rejected him before looking for you"

This surprised Len very much.
He stares at her, astonished at what she just told him.

"You...rejected him?"

"Y-yeah...I told him I only liked him as a friend and he understood...but now, I can't find him anywhere. He won't even answer my calls..."

Len lets this new information sink in as he took a seat across from (Y/n).
He never knew any of this...so it pretty much hit him like a truck.
He then realizes that his creator was feeling sad, really sad.
He didn't like seeing his creator in this state...
So he picked up his piano key guitar and began playing it slowly as he softly sang.
(Y/n) perked her head up, wondering what he was doing.
It then hit her: He was singing, especially to her.
He then sang the lyrics.

"A robot was built by a lonely scientist,
to say how it was done, a miracle~
But something was missing,
there was one thing he couldn't do,
and that was the program called a heart..."

It was the song she sang to him when he first entered the human world and even though this was his first time singing, he sounded so good already.
He continued singing to her.

"Several hundred years pass,
Left all alone,
the miracle robot decided to make a wish~
I want to know what that person worked on until the end of his life.
To make for me that heart..."

Len sang it all so perfectly that (Y/n) didn't have any words to describe it.
He just sounded so beautiful...even though he was just an android...
An android she was proud of creating.
The two then sang together in unison as they closed their eyes.

"Now, it has begun to move,
accelerating miracle~
Why do the tears not stop...
Why do I tremble?
Accelerating heartbeat~
Is this my desired heart?
Now I've begun to realize,
the reason I was born,
surely it's lonely to be by oneself.
Yes, that day, at that time,
in all those memories.
The heart that lives is overflowing~

Both of their voices trails off as they stare into each other's eyes, her (e/c) ones with his blue ones.
Without hesitation, they both slowly lean in, lost in each other's eyes as their lips were about to touch...
Someone then called (Y/n)'s phone, it made her pull away to answer it.

"Hello? Oh Kaito! You finally answered my calls-
Wait...what? H-hold on, I'll be there right away!"

She hung up then raced to the closet to get her jacket.
Len followed her, his piano key guitar strapped to his back.

"What did he want now...?"

"It's his roommate...we have to save Kaito"
