Where did his happy smile go?
Where did his cheerful self go?
Where did everything about him go?
It was all in that small green chip that (F/n) had cracked into tiny pieces...
(Y/n) will never get him back, she'll never get that kind, silly best friend back, the one that always stood by her side even in jealousy and who always gave her that soft smile everyday.

Len...

This wasn't Len, (Y/n) knew, this was someone else...SOMETHING else and it's all her fault.
She should've saved him when she had the chance.
Len stood there in silence, his red eyes beaming down at his creator.
Those weren't the eyes she remembered creating...
These were different, oh so different.
A very bad difference.
(F/n) menacingly laugh as they clap their hands together in excitement.

"Let's see, I'll call you...02! Yes, 02! What a delightful name, don't you think Kaito?~"

Kaito was silent himself, he held his hands together, staring at his shoes.
He avoided eye contact with both (Y/n) and (F/n), the two scientists who have created the first ever human androids.
(F/n) clicks their tongue before placing a hand on 02's shoulder.

"02, what is your creator's name?~"

"Y-You didn't have to say that last part! Stupid robot!"

...She slapped him, but he didn't cry or flinch in pain.
Like I said before, this wasn't Len.
Definitely wasn't Len.
(Y/n) felt anger raising within her, a burning fire.

"Now 02, kill (Y/n)! That's an order!"

Len approached her, clenching both his fists as he didn't crack a smile.
A dark aura surrounded him and it scared (Y/n).
(Y/n) backs away as she shudders by the look of him.
Why was (F/n), her old best friend, even doing this?
Did she really hurt (F/n) that much ever since the competition...?

"Why are you doing this (F/n)?! It doesn't have to be this way!"

"Hahahaha! Why its revenge of course! Revenge for embarrassing me in front of all those scientists, all those judges, all our friends!
You shouldn't have joined the competition to began with! Otherwise, you wouldn't die here! You would've been able to live a long life!

"...Yes Master..."

As he was about to grab her by her neck, Kaito stepped in and held him back by his arms, gritting his teeth in pain for he was still injured.
(F/n)'s eyes widened, surprised to see Kaito helping another scientist out, especially her enemy.

"Kaito, what are you doing?! Let 02 go or you will be sorry!"

"...screw you...you're not my master anymore...heartless b****!"

(Y/n) didn't know what to do, she couldn't believe Kaito was on her side! He was indeed a great friend, a true friend...
He stares right at her with those blue eyes of his.

"(Y/n) run! Now!"

She shyly nods, then gets up and runs up the stairs, tripping on her feet.
Luckily she made it to the top, but she heard furniture being smashed and glasses cracking in the basement.
She tried escaping through the front door and the windows, but it was no use...the whole house was on lockdown.
There was only one place to hide...
(F/n)'s room.
(Y/n) rushes inside the dark room and shuts the door, locking it.
She hid in the corner, hugging her legs as she shook, hearing the loud noises coming from down those stairs.
After a few minutes that felt like forever, they stopped...then the sound of footsteps were coming upstairs.
Was it 02?
Was it (F/n)?
Or was it...?
It knocked on the door, making (Y/n) jump.
The knocks got louder and louder, then she heard the voice, the voice that she was relieved to hear.

Kaito...

"(Y/n)! Let me in!"

(Y/n) carefully opens the door and there was Kaito, gripping his stomach and coughing.
His blue hair was a mess, he had cuts all over his arms and legs and his face had bruises that were turning black to blue.
She hugs him, feeling his warmth.
It made her so happy...but still disappointed.
She wanted to hug Len too...
Kaito shuts the door behind him, laying his back on it as he breathes for air.

"W-What happened...?"

"I knocked Len out...but he'll wake up anytime soon. You must get out of here, you must leave before-"

There was banging coming from the door, it scared both Kaito and (Y/n).
Kaito holds the door, growling.
He stares at (Y/n), worried for her safety.

"Go through the window! Hurry-"

...An iron katana suddenly went through Kaito's chest, causing him to gasp as his blue eyes widened in fear.
Oil poured down his chest as it began to pour down from his mouth to his chin.
This had to be a nightmare...was Kaito going to die here?
(Y/n) didn't believe it, until Kaito slowly closed his eyes and shut down while blocking the door with his lifeless body.
What a horrible way to die...even though he was an android.
