Chapter Fourteen

Aija's POV
    Katy parked the car into the parking space in front of IHOP. We both got out and I grabbed Ava out of her car seat. We walked to the door and an old man held the door open for us as he was going out.

    "Thank you." We both simultaneously told him. Once I entered I scanned the place to see if I'd see Jayceon and I instantly spotted him. He was sitting with Mia and the gang in a corner booth. As Katy and I were being escorted to our table Jayceon looked at us.

    When I seen that he noticed me I turned my head and sat down at the table that the teenage boy showed us to. We ordered our drinks and I asked the kid to bring Ava a high chair. As he was walking away I seen Jayceon approaching our table from the corner of my eye.

    I sigh. I didn't feel like talking to him right now and especially right here. I pretended to look over my menu hoping that he'd notice that I'm preoccupied and go away, but luck just isn't on my side. I heard him clear his throat very loudly.

    I sat my menu down and looked up at him. He grabbed Ava off of my lap and kissed her forehead. As if she knew that she was in his arms she wrapped her arms around his neck and snuggled her face into his neck. God, even sleeping she knows his ass.

    "So you not gonna speak to me?" He asked pulling out a chair that was on side of me. I continued to look at him and not say anything. If he thinks that because I was gone a few days that I had calmed down he would be sadly mistaken.

    "Baby, I said I'm sorry. What more do you want?"

    Silence. That's all he got from out of me.

    He sigh, "Asia baby listen to me. I know what I did wasn't right, by any means. But I'm being a man and I'm owning up to my wrongs and I've apologized countless times. What do you need me to do? Tell the whole world that I messed up and that I'm an asshole? Because I'll do it."

    When he seen that I wasn't budging he got up and handed Ava to Katy.

    "Hold her for me." He told her. She grabbed Ava and sat her on her lap. Jayceon stood up on the chair that he previously was sitting on and stood up on it.

    "Hey, can I have everyone's attention?" His voice boomed throughout the place.

    Oh my god, what is he doing? All eyes were on us and I began to get very nervous. I grabbed his pants legs and began to tug on it, "Get down Jayceon! Everybody's staring!"

    "That's the point." He hopped down from the chair and grabbed both of my hands making me stand up.

    "I've recently hurt this amazing woman right here. We were building something very special together and I ruined it. My daughter and her are one of the biggest blessings in my life and I'll be damned if I lose them. Baby I know I hurt you, but I swear that was never my intention. I let temptation get in the way when I should've never gave it a chance to. I promise you that from here on out that I'll try my hardest to never hurt you again and that I'll be the best man that I can be for you and Ava. Please just come on back home and let's work on this, on us, on our family. Please baby. Will you come back home?"

    The entire time he spoke his eyes never left mine and mines never left his. I looked around the restaurant and I seen some people had tears in their eyes, some were smiling, and some were even yelling for me to "get my man". I looked at Katy and she smiled and nodded her head.

    I looked back at Jayceon and I smiled, "Of course I'll come back."

    He picked me up and swing me around a few times. Once he sat me down he planted a passionate kiss on my lips. I pulled away from the kiss and looked into his eyes. His eyes always tell the truth and I could see the sincerity behind them.
