Of course, Destiny the series isn't without its speculations and theories. One theory refers to the Exo Stranger. The Exo Stranger is a recurring character that you meet throughout the first game. She is enigmatic and strange, and for all we know, she could potentially be evil. One speculation is who she works with. Some say she works with the Nine, like Xur. This would mean she is a scout for the Nine, and that she keeps tabs on us as we make our existence as the savior of the City known. Evidence of this comes from the fact that with the legendary pulse rifle you get from her, "the Stranger's Rifle," it says that it has been constructed by materials that didn't exist yet or will never exist in our time line. This may be a god to the Nine, who are generally unknown but seem to have powers even greater than the Guardians that it shouldn't exist yet. Another theory stems from her actions. There are times with her where she speaks to an unseen figure, who we have no idea exists. Some theories state she is contacting the Nine directly. This is much more plausible. There are other theories that are kind of plausible. Such as that she is speaking to a future version of your Guardian. This would make sense. Say that the Vex threaten to destroy all of time itself (clearly expressed in Expansion one of Destiny 2, Curse of Osiris) the Vex planned on converting all life into Vex and leave nothing behind, especially the Sun. So say that a situation arises like that in the future. Then, Our Future Selves would have to contact us in an effort to keep our timeline from being ripped to shreds. Our Future Self employs the Exo Stranger and sends her to watch us as we carry on our adventures.

Other speculations come from Destiny 2 as well. At the end of the game, the Traveler wakes up and it sends a shockwave across the Solar System. On the very edge of the Solar System, a very distinct set of spaceships capture our eye. What could these be? Well, people speculate that it's the Darkness, in its closest physical representation that we could get, you know, except for the Taken.

Anyways, that's all I have so far. I'll post more here, like random lore, such as character lore, like Cayde-6 and Saint-14, Ikora Rey and Eriana-3, and Commander Zavala and Deputy Commander Sloane. Expect those to come up soon.
