Day 70: The fight

As I promised, I stayed with him over the night. I talked to John before going to sleep to tell him that I was too tired and I'd sleep before he finished his work. He went with it easily...

~11 days later~
All this time here in Texas, I was searching for a job. Of course my dad provided me the cash to live here and all, but I wanted to be more independent. Anthony was searching too for the past few days. I finally found a job at a bar that was looking for a female singer; They interviewed me this morning and I took it. I was going to work 4 times a week: 2 work days and the weekend. I hadn't told John about me searching for a job, let alone finding one, but after the interview, I immediately called Anthony

"Good morning, sunshine!" he says as he picks it up

"Good morning, ocean" I reply. I call him like that because of his ocean blue eyes

"Am I interrupting?" I ask

"Not really I'm on a break now. Tell me about the job!" He demands looking forward to my answer

"Well...I took it!!" I say super excited

"Of course u did, princess!" He replies happily

"Are u sure u don't want me to look for something better? I know people and I could pull some strings!" He adds

"No, it's ok! I love singing, so I'm good" I say to calm him

"Ok, whatever u say, boss!" he replies and I giggle

"U know your boyfriend came to my office earlier" he says and I turn white

"What did he want?" I ask nervous

"Nothing, he had some doubts about inflation"

"Oh, come on! I died for a second!" I scold him and he laughs

"I wouldn't be so calm if it was something else..."

"True...Anyway gotta go, he thinks I'm in a doctor's appointment and I'm late to class"

"Ok, ok be careful...and don't let him touch u much!" He says jealously

"Seriously now? U sleep with my mother..."

"Ok u win!" He says and I smile. I try to hang up but I hear him say my name

"Alexa?"

"Yes?" He pauses for a couple of seconds

"Nothing, it's not important..."

"Ok, if u say so..."

"Ok bye" he says and we hang up.

I go to my lecture a little late and it's a miracle I find a seat close to my friends, who, of course, know everything; from the job, to me and Anthony. They start asking me about the job and after I tell them, we start paying attention to the lecture

When we finish John comes close to us

"Hey babe everything ok??" He asks

"Yeah! Just a routine check-up" I reply smiling to calm him

"I'm glad" he says and kisses my head

"So, will u come sit with us?" He asks

"If the girls want to" I turn to look at them

"Look, I don't wanna be rude, but I don't like your friends, so it's a no from me..."Kate says bluntly

"I have to agree with Kate! Your friends look at us a little weird..." Stella continues

"I don't mind" Emma says

"Ok, but I wanna see u..." John says to me

"Me too, but I wanna be with my friends if u don't mind...if u want come with us, we always come to your crew!" I reply
