I felt something cold and wet pressing against my head.

I let out a soft groan.

"Amber! Thank god, I thought we were going to have to take you to the hospital. Anyway, you must be sicker than I thought. I'm letting Stephano stay home from school today to watch you." She let out in one breath.

"Stephano, you'll keep an eye on Amber while I'm gone, right?" Erica yelled downstairs.

"Yeah mom" he shouted back.

"Okay then sweetheart I'll be leaving for work. You tell Stephano if you need anything."

"Okay, thanks Erica." I responded slowly.

The next couple hours passed uneventfully.

"I'm going to order takeout for lunch!" Stephano shouted.

"I'm not hungry" I shouted back. I heard footsteps come up the stairs.

"But I've never seen you eat anything..." Stephano stated with an intrigued look on his face.

"I'm just not hungry." I stated. Then my stomach decided to growl very loudly.

"Look your obviously hungry, tell me why you don't want to eat."

"It's none of your business! Go to hell!" I yelled at him.

"Okay..." Stephano said, then left the room with an intrigued look on his face.

Erica came back around 6:00. She came into Stephano's room about five minutes later and put one of her hands on my forehead.

"Well you don't seem to have a

fever." She firmly stated.

"In fact, I think you can start going to school again." She said after a moments pause.

I felt my stomach drop at the thought. At least nobody at this school will know my previous reputation.

I don't have to be an "attention whore".

Unless, of course, Stephano ruins it again, which is probably going to happen now that I think about it.

I could feel the anxiety run through my veins, making my nerves about school worse than ever.

I somehow fell asleep that night looking at the celing, unable to stop thinking about my first day of school.
