The man was awoken by a loud bang on the wooden door. He sprang to his feet, fully clothed in a dark suit. The bangs became rapid, the door started to shake.
Lila, he thought, dread piling up in his stomach. He approached the door with caution, almost as if he thought she might be able to reach through the door and find him.
Eye pressed against the spy-hole, he was glum to find his suspicions were confirmed. Lila was stood outside the door, fists pounding against the door. He knew it would only take a few more well aimed thuds before the door crumbled.
What to do...He thought.
