Echoed in her ears, as the presumed employee gained impatience. Harper knew better than to answer the door, and instead stared out of the window. The government employee was not looking pleased. Quite the opposite, in fact.
Their unyielding bangs seemed to relent as they heard steps on coming from the other side of the door. Little did they know, the steps were walking away, as opposed to towards, the door.
She unlocked the back door as quietly as she thought possible, and crept out of the door.
The bangs rang in her ears, as the employee realised that Harper had left.
Harper sprinted away, she knew that there was only one place that was without people at this time; The woods.
