There was only one plausible option left. With as little sound as he could muster, he crossed from the current room into the next. He grabbed a black back-pack and swept some spare wiring into it. He zipped his bag up, before swinging it onto his shoulders. Back pressed against the wall, he snuck a glance out of the window. Lila was still there, looking furious as ever.
The door was starting to give way, the thuds became faster and faster, with as much power as when the banging first began.
He pushed open the window with as much strength he thought possible. The window opened, a heavy gust of wind flying towards him.
His eyes displayed fear, but his face was set. He knew what he had to do. Parachute at the ready, he swung a shaking leg over the window-sill, as the door burst open.
Lila sprinted to the window but he had already jumped, already gliding through the air, thanks to his parachute.
She watched him soar through the air, fury starting to build.
She stepped back from the window, and that was when she saw it.
