The Choice Series: Lost

Chapter 10: The Search Part 1

    I woke up 2 minutes before my alarm went off so I turned it off and got up I was tired so I went and took a shower. After the shower i check my self on my bathroom mirror i saw that the bruise on my shoulder and on my jaw faded a little bit but not completely i went to my room and i saw that it was 6:28 am so i dried my hair and i changed into a white shirt and over it a put on a denim sweater which i really liked because the denim sweater sleeves where made out of cotton so it looked cool. I went down stairs and I greeted my mom and I sat on the couch and I turned on the Television and I was watching the news then the news man said "For some new news a kid goes missing a couple days ago so we ask if anyone know him or has seen him to please call the number on the screen." Then a picture of Adam pop upped on the screen and I could tell it was a younger picture of him because he looked young and smaller.

     "Mom come look" I called my mom she came to the couch and she saw the screen her smile fell down she rubbed my back "Honey don't worry they will find him ok?" "How mom how?" I asked while trying to keep the tears back "Well I have wanted to tell you that Mr. Thompson said that the neighborhood is  going to have a search party today and tomorrow where going to start the search in around the wood's" "Which woods mom?" i asked her "Green Lake Wood's. "Why there mom?" i asked her "Because the police found traces of blood of Adam and it looks like someone dragged him into the woods so they believe that there might be a chance they took him to a cabin around there so he might be there but they aren't sure but its better to check it out." Now to you those woods means nothing but to me it means something, something big that is where me and Adam always us to go and run around the woods and play nerf war and that is where we use to hang out (Yes i know what you're thinking why is a 14 year old kid playing nerf war in the woods look i don't know that was the only thing i thought of doing because it seem fun ok so don't judge me) Anyway those wood mean a lot to me also because me and my mom around where the woods are not directly in the woods but around where the woods are me and my mom built a cabin together of course we had some construction workers to help because we wanted the cabin to be a little bigger than a normal size cabin.

    "What time is the search party going to start?" I asked my mom "It will start around 3:50 so after school" "Ok, thats good" "Zack i'm sorry that you have to go through this with all this thing happening with your dad's past and also with Adam missing i'm sorry." "It's ok mom it's not your fault" "Yeah your right anyway we should go so you're not late sorry I couldn't make you breakfast so today you have to eat at school" "It's ok let's go."

    We arrived at the school parking lot and I said goodbye to my mom and I walked to the entrance of the school and I went in.

    I went to the lunchroom and I waited in the line and I saw Olivia she was wearing a cheerleader outfit she looked so pretty it looked so good on her. She was seating with other cheerleaders and she waved at me right in that moment i wanted to melt and turn into liquid i hope i was not blushing because that would be embarrassing. I waved back and then i saw the last person that i wanted to see Josh arrive at the table that Olivia was seating at with her friends he sat right next to her i felt this rush of anger in me seeing him their but i told myself calm down Zack deep breaths(And for clarification i was not Jealous...) Anyway i could see that he was trying to talk to her but she just pretended that he wasn't there.

    Then i felt someone slap me on the back i turned around to see who it was and it was my neighbor Jay Walker i forgot that he came to this school because he is usually traveling to visit his family at other states and he didn't care if he missies a couple of days of school he had messy black hair and his eyes where so dark brown that you needed to look at it closely to see if it was black or brown."Hey long time no see how you doing Zack?" Jay said with a smile on his face "I'm doing ok how are you doing?" i asked him "I'm doing fine Zack so i just wanted to say i'm sorry i've heard about the Adam situation and i'm really sorry man" he slapped me again on my back but this time more softer "Thanks Jay are you coming to the search party?" "Yeah but probably later because i have someone stuff to do."
