[Jeremy's POV]
Dough eyed me critically as he sat on the couch in my office. He had been glancing my way since I arrived. I couldn't quite concentrate with my job with him around.
"Are you gonna stare the entire day? My cousin's probably needing you now. I wonder why you're spending your time in my office when you ought to be somewhere else."
He shook his head, his fingers cupped his chin as he continued to examine me.
"I wonder why Brandon put you in that position. I know you're terrible at it." He criticized.
"Are you insulting me?" I clicked my tongue, Dough's words didn't affect me because he's only stating facts. I sucked at everything.
I leaned forward and narrowed my eyes at him.
"Because blood is thicker than water. That's the answer to your question."
Dough nodded in agreement.
"But you almost killed each other the other day. And now you're sitting on that chair. Oh, frustrating! I don't know what I'm gonna do to you.If the witch finds out she'll skin me for ever letting the brawl happen."
"Serves you right." I replied devilishly.
He looked stricken. "I gave all my power to stop Brandon from killing you now you don't even know how to repay me! He's just way bigger than I am and stronger too. You know I don't work out."
I rolled my eyes.
"Why isn't it a surprise? With your fats obviously you don't pay attention to your health. Brandon can't live that way. He'll probably freak out without a day's work out. That's why he easily dashed you aside wimp!" I replied and put my attention back to the paperwork the previous manager left behind.
"Atleast I wasn't injured." He bragged proudly. "Unlike you! You were punched like a punching bag!"
Dough uplifted his pride by degrading mine.
"I didn't want to fight him because he's my cousin. I ought to respect him." I reasoned out.
"You're the one who provoked the fight. Already a sign of disrespect."
"Will you get out of my office! I'm busy here can't you see?" I glared at him. "Are you just gonna piss me off that's why you'rehanging around here?"
"Alright! Alright! I just can't go into Brandon's office. He's got a visitor. Avery beautiful one."
I smirked. "Must be Hannah." I commented as I scanned through the papers.
They looked good together. My cousin was acting too possessive and I caught him countless of times eyeing her like a starved man.Gracious! Never saw him that way before. Miracles were true then.
