Hannah's POV
The next day, afternoon, I went out of the house to go to my husband's office. I cooked him dinner and I wished to eat with him. He's been so attached this morning and I hoped to regain his closeness with me.
I would try. He's all worth it.
I hailed a cab but before I could get inside someone clamped a hand around my nose and mouth and suddenly my head spun and everything went black.
I regained my consciousness in a dim lit old basement. I tried to stand up and realized I was tied around a chair. I squirmed and tried to loosen the tie when a movement in the corner of the room caught my eye.
It was man and I sensed danger. He stood in the dark but his eyes bore into mine.
"A woman in exchange for 5 million dollars." He breathed in a sinister manner that caused me goosebumps.
My heart pounded rapidly when he stepped into the scant light coming from the small window. He was dressed in black and the familiarity of the stance and suit stirred up a memory.
"Kevin Blake?" I mumbled remembering.
"I prefer Blade miss Stevens." The glint in his eyes suggested pure danger. I thought he was one of Brandon's men but why did he kidnapped his boss' wife?
I didn't answer. It was best to keep my mouth shut.
"By the way, this is my brother," He motioned to the other figure coming into the light and I couldn't believe my eyes when I realized the identity of the other man.
"David?"
"Oh, yes he is." Blade dragged another chair in front of me and sat himself crossing his legs. The dark eyes of him studied me for a long time, his mouth twitched from time to time finding the whole thing amusing.
"I called your husband an hour ago and he was on his way here with our money. I guess, he truly cared for you when he gave threats as I bargained with him, "
"Don't hurt him!" I screamed aloud and Blade chuckled in my bravery.
"Foolish girl." He uncrossed his legs and leaned over. "If you chose my brother, you won't be here at all, I would've spared you. This brother of mine had an obsession for you,"
I turned to David and his eyes were as menacing as his brother's. Blade stood and turned the switch on. I squinted against the light.
"See?" Blade motioned on the walls and fear slithered down my spine to see my photos posted against the wooden boards. They were many. All of them taken without my knowledge.
There were shots at the pool, my room I thought was private enough, and the bathroom while I took shower. God, I was either half-naked or naked at all. I was unnerved by the sight and I couldn't look at David.
"How dare you! I trusted you! Father did too!!" I spat disgustingly.
"And I loved you."
I shuddered, disgusted and angry. He violated my privacy, and I thought he was friend!
"So you kidnapped me?"
"Well we're after the money sweetheart," Blade answered and occupied his seat again. "David here wouldn't touch a woman Stevens already fucked, right brother?"
"But you said she'll be mine after this!!" David protested. I sensed that he disliked his brother's imperious manner.
"David! You can't have her. Is it okay with you to fuck Stevens' woman?! If I were in your shoes I wouldn't. I'll go for a virgin instead!"
