Jenny called me and was crying. She's been talking about this suicide thing. She said she was in New York, Global Hotel, she followed Louis here with his fiancee and she thought it was really over between them. She scared the hell out of me.

I wanted to spend the whole night with Hannah alone but I couldn't just let Jenny succumb into depression. She's been such a good friend.

There's a lot of time between us though, I would make it up to Hannah later after I soothed Jenny. I rushed into the hotel and took the elevator to her room. I banged her door in haste afraid that I might be too late. Fortunately, she opened the door. Right away, I smelled the whiff of alcohol from her breath. She threw herself at me and sobbed loudly.

"He doesn't want me anymore! It's their wedding tomorrow!" She sobbed desperately. "I love him Brandon! I can't lose him!!"

I hushed her. "Did you talked to him?" I hugged her back. She needed comfort now.

"No! He keeps on avoiding me like I have a contagious disease!! He even know I followed him here and he was mad!" Her body rocked as she wept.

"Then talk to him again,"

"I tried but he yelled at me!"

I pulled her inside the room and we sat on the bed. "Is he staying in this Hotel?"

"Why? What will you do?" She looked up at me sniffing, her face filled with tears.

"Where's his room?" I repeated louder now. That bastard ought to learn some lesson. She looked suddenly worried for the bastard. She had suspected just what I would do.

"Across mine," She whispered.

I bolted out of the door and knocked loudly. She followed me trying to prevent me from inflicting him punches. I'd punch the hell out of that man's face.

When the man stepped out of the door, I thew a blow on his face. He staggered back but I grabbed his collar and slammed his body against the wall. No wonder why Jenny was so smitten by the guy. He's a good-looking dark-headed lad.

His eyes flew behind me where Jenny stood frozen.

"Do you love her?!" I demanded answer from him. He didn't look scared at all. He was staring at Jenny's face as though I didn't exist.

"Stop it Brandon, he doesn't love me. ." Jenny found her voice. But I saw the pain in the man's eyes and I knew their feelings were mutual.

"I love her," he said and immediately he shoved me aside and kissed Jenny.

I shook my head sideways. "Marry her tomorrow or I'll break your neck," I warned and departed.

It wasn't as bad as I thought. The man's just coward to fight for Jenny. But the punch I gave him shook his head enough. He'd marry her, I was certain.

I called Hannah but she wasn't answering. I drove back home and found her in our room. She was packing her things.

"What are you doing?!" I thundered.

"Packing," She answered, her voice hard.

"What for?"

"I'm leaving!"

"No, you're not!" I rasped and grabbed an armful of her things from the bed and put them back into the wardrobe. She irritably snatched them back and walked over the bed. I looked at her in annoyance.

"What's wrong now?! I thought we're okay?!"

"That's what I thought too, but we're not!" She answered tossing her shoes into her suitcase. In my vexation, I grabbed her bag and turned it over the other side of the bed. It hit the floor in a thud.
