Taylin's POV:

It had been a month since my last pill. My last hit. My last need for a pill or something to calm down the thoughts in my head. It was hard to face real life. It was hard to move on from the pain in my past. My therapist told me that after a month I would be allowed to go out and do things. I was excited to go out. Miranda flew in to see Pierre so she offered to take me shopping. I was told to get anything I wanted, just not to max out anyone's cards. I laughed as I grabbed my ratty jean jacket and my vans.

It was nice to have a girls only day. It was something I had no idea I missed. I wanted to get a few things for Ivy. She had been locked up with me for most of the detox. She was glad to be out of the bus and with everyone. I knew nothing would happen while I was gone.

We arrived at the mall and I made a dash for Macy's. I wanted to buy some dresses. I needed something pretty. The first thing I saw was a pretty cerulean blue gauze sleeveless dress that had lace on the bottom. It had a cute little belt with it that made it look even better.

We spent over an hour in Macys. Having fun trying things on and buying clothes just to buy them. Then Miranda wanted to talk while we had lunch.

"So Pierre told me things are better. You still have to work through everything, but the drugs are done." She smiled.

"I'm off them yes. The urge to use is still there. I mean the nightmares and everything are what make me wanna use. I have to learn to deal with it. With intense therapy and talking about shit, I might be ok at some point. There is going to be that fear in the back of my mind that some day Justin or my mother is gonna come out of no where and hurt me." I let out a heavy sigh as I looked my grilled chicken and veggies.

"Things are better. You have a family who adores you. A great guy that is willing to sit by your side while you detox. And a dog that is great with everyone and trusts no one. You get to travel with bands. You are very lucky." She had a point. It was hard to look on the bright side when everything seemed bad.

It was at that point my day took a massive dive. My phone rang and I saw it was David. I laughed as I answered. Everything seemed to move fast. We grabbed our things and ran out to the rental Miranda had.

"No! What happened?" I cried as drove.

"I tried to stop her! He came out of no where. He had a knife. There wasn't anything we could do." He tried to be strong, but I knew what was about to happen.

"Where is she?" I asked, knowing the answer already.

"Pierre took her in. We're waiting on word. I don't think the outcome is going to be good." I could hear the sadness in his voice.

We arrived at the venue and I flew out of the car. I looked around and saw everyone by the buses. There was a pool of blood on the ground and a knife. I knew what was about to happen and I fell to my knees and cried. Josh ran over to me and held me.

"Justin showed up and tried to get in the bus. Ivy attacked him. She got him in the arm and leg before he pulled the knife. We call the police, but he left before they arrived." He tried to calm me down. Everything was moving in slow motion now. I could hardly breath as I thought about life without Ivy. I wanted my dog. I wanted my best friend. I knew that wasn't about to happen. I knew what would happen when Pierre called. There was no saving Ivy. Not when I knew how Justin was. He had always hated her. He wanted her gone since I first got her. It wasn't fair that my dog lost her life while a vile, evil man walked around living.

"Hello?" I heard Chuck's voice. I looked up, tears were falling down my face. "There's nothing they can do? Shit. She just got here."

I knew what was said. My dog was gone. She was murdered by the man I hated most in the world. I was alone. My best friend was gone.
