"Sometimes the worst place you
can be is in your own head."

Darkness. Ringing and pain. That's all that he could feel, hear, and see. Not that his eyes were open in the first place, but he also felt something squeezing his chest, it was like someone put a bunch of bricks on his chest making it hard for him to breath. The pain was almost like it was pressurized, but was pulsating through him, moving through his limps and in his head the most. He tried to move, only to unable to move any of his limps. He couldn't even open his eyes, but he was awake. When the ringing stopped, he heard voices, something warm touched his hand. Their fingers interlocking with his, but he couldn't move his hand to do so.

"We are trying everything we can, Alesa. But we have reached our limit, we just have to give him time for his wounds to heal." A voice said. Sky opened his eyes, but the voices went away and the warm feeling in his hand went away. He was standing still, he took a few steps forward, then realized where he was. He broke into a run instantly, following a path he would never forget. He tried to speak, but no words came out, he heard a scream that made him shutter. He slowed down a little, unsure if he even wanted to rewatch the scene he can't get out of his head. But a figure run straight through him, Sky watched them. 'That's...me...' Sky thought. He followed them.

"Barney!" He heard someone shout. He saw him run in and kill a mob, Barney laying on the ground, his hand covering his eye, blood stained his hand and face.

"A-Adams..." Barney weakly said. Sky took a few steps back, not wanting to relive this memory he has been trying to forget. He backed up into someone. He flinched and turned around. He gasps.

"Barney," Adam said. Barney removes his hand, his hand lowering down showing a cut in his eyes that is bleeding profusely. Sky looks at his hand and then at Barney.

"I believed ins yous..." Barney said. Sky fidgets with his jacket.

"Barney, I'm sorry! I-I'm sorry that I left you alone with that injury. I shouldn't have, you--"

"Yous...killed me.." Barney said. Sky tensed up. "What dids I dos wrong? Why dids you let mes die? Why?" Sky took a step towards Barney, Barney instantly strikes at Sky with a sword. Sky gasped, he stumbled backward, barely dodging the attack. "Yous are no hero...you're a coward!" Barney strikes at him again, but this time multiple copies of him form around Sky, Sky looked around.

"Barney! I'm sorry!" Sky shouted. He felt a dozen cuts strike into his flesh everywhere, he screams out in pain stumbling backward against a tree. Barney and the Barney clone all laugh, Sky flinched and slides down the tree, sitting at the base of it. Sky watches them all appear around him again. Sky shakes his head. "I'm...I'm not gonna fight you please Barney, I'm sorry!"

"You thinks apologizing will fixs everything? I'm deads becauses of you! Just likes how the recruits and yours friends will end ups..dead...becauses of you! Evens Alesa and Mason." Barney said. Sky shakes his head. Barney chuckles. "You are nothing without the Sky Army. You haves nothing, you don't deserve anything! It woulds be so muchs better if yous would just dies already!" Sky screams when they attack him, stabbing their swords into him. Sky screamed, but even with what was happening, he felt something warm wrap around him. He screamed again feeling a sword go straight into his back and pop out of his chest. He coughed up blood, spitting it onto the ground. He eyes watered, he covered his ears with his hands.

'Shhhh...Sky...shhhh...It's alright..' He heard a familiar voice say in his head. He opened his eyes, the stabbing stopped and the swords are gone. The only evidence being his bloodied clothes and skin. He was in a white room, the room has no furniture or any color other than white. He looked down the floor, he could feel the fear and panic rising in his chest. Usually, he would keep it down, but he couldn't. He covers his face, starting to cry into his hands.

"I-I'm sorry. I-I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I..I can't do this...I can't...I can't sleep and I can barely eat. I'm so sorry, Barney... I...I never meant for you to die." Sky cried. Sky fell onto his side, rolling up into a ball, crying into his knees.

Then he woke up, his eyes opened, he let out a deep breath. His vision clearing to see a shoulder, he could feel arms coiled around him and rubbing his back, just like Alesa does. He slowly grabs the fabric of her shirt, his body beginning to tremble in fear. 'Is this a dream or reality?!' Sky thought.

"A-Alesa?" Sky mumbled hesitantly. Alesa flinched, she looks down at Sky. She moves his hair back and smiles. Their eyes connecting.

"Yeah, it's me. It's me. You're okay, you were having another nightmare." Alesa said. She kisses the tears from his cheeks. Sky liked it but he had this distant look in his eyes that she didn't like. Sky stared at her for a few moments, he buried his face into her neck, his chest flaring up in pain, protesting, yet he ignored it, it almost dulled when her arms encompassed around him. "Shhhh...calm down, Sky...you'll be okay.."

His tremblings almost went away, he didn't care why he was here or where all he wanted was to forget his nightmare and feel safe for once. And he did, he felt safe and comfortable with Alesa's arms around him. His eyes shut, Alesa rests her head against his. Alesa smiles, she pulled the blanket up and over him, pulling him closer to her, she sits on the bed, holding him. She leaned back, laying down, she rubbed his back gently, just how she knew he liked it.

He felt like he was home, but he didn't want it to be the Sky Army. His eyes water, his hand gripped her shirt, her hand moves up into his hair. She was careful of his wounds, but she knew that he just wanted her support. She kissed his head.

"You're home, it's okay. I won't let anything hurt you." Alesa said to him. Alesa met eyes with the doctor. She shook her head. "Can you check up on him later?" The doctor looks at Sky, and nods.

"Come get me when he's feeling better." The doctor said before they left. She felt Sky's body relaxed, meaning he fell asleep. She kissed his forehead and rested her head against his, closing her eyes and soon falling asleep.
