Don't forget to comment your thoughts!
Honestly, he was trying not to care but he couldn't deny the ache he felt in his chest. His heart broke a little when he saw Jennifer with that Ian dude.
'Are you alright, son?' His dad asked while petting him on the shoulder.
'Huh? Yeah fine.' He answered absentmindedly.
'It's that girl, isn't it? Jennifer?'
'Yeah.'
'You should just tell her how you feel.'
'I already did.'
'Well,' you could tell he wasn't sure what to say. 'Maybe she'll change her mind. You're even growing a beard!' He said enthusiastically. 'Maybe I should teach you how to shave properly sometime, alright?' He laughed poking the scar on his cheek.
'Thanks dad.' He smiled. He smiled. For a moment he forgot. Just a tiny moment.
Jennifer.
Jennifer Marie.
Jennifer Marie Morrison.
And just like that she was invading his thoughts again... and his dreams...
The next day at school Jennifer looked for Colin everywhere. He wasn't there. Was he sick? Was it because of her? It didn't take long for her to decide she was paying him a visit after school.
'Oh Jennifer.' Colin's dad smiled when he saw her.
'Mr-'
'Con will do.' He chuckled. 'Colin is upstairs, he wasn't feeling well.' He said with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.
'I'll just... go see him.' She smiled walking into the house. She went upstairs and knocked on his door.
'Who?' He groaned dramatically.
'Me!'
'Jennifer?'
'The one and only.' She smiled before walking into his bedroom. He was laying in his bed. His hair was messy and he was wearing a white T-shirt.
'You didn't say you were coming I would've dressed...' He mumbled.
'Don't worry about it.' She smiled. 'You okay?'
'Fine.'
'Liar.'
'Ugh... just seeing you with Ian.' He said disgusted. 'I mean I know you don't have feelings for me or anything but-'
'Told you it was nothing...' Even remembering that moment made her cringe. Then a thought hit her. What if she just kissed him once? Just to forget? Wait no he'd want more and wasn't ready... right? And he'd be confused and sad... she couldn't do that to him.
'Penny for your thoughts?'
'Huh? Oh I was just... thinking.'
'I figured.' He chuckled. 'Are you okay?'
'Yeah... I mean I think so. I should go, see you tomorrow.' And just as sudden as she'd appeared she was gone again. Leaving a very confused Colin behind.
I know I said I'd make the chapters longer but I'm just really busy and I wanted to update so yeah... don't forget so give me some feedback! 🧡
