Bad timing

(That's actually Jen with the Ian Brennan dude.)

Okay, so I feel like this story has been kind of random. I'm still trying to come up with some kind of plot. The thing is that this is a lot harder than writing a CS story, at least for me. Since Jen and Colin are real people I feel like have to write something that's close to their actual personality and, I don't know if that makes sense, but I don't want to offend them or anyone. Anyway I'm just saying that because right now something might happen that I'm pretty sure Jen would never do but it's for the good of the story... enjoy!
p.s. I'm also gonna try and make the chapters longer from now on.

Jennifer was walking home from Colin's house. They'd talked about some random stuff all afternoon and the crush thing wasn't mentioned, not once. She was smiling, she wasn't sure why, probably just because she was happy to have her friend back. They'd made plans for Halloween. Pumpkin carving obviously and Jennifer had convinced Colin to come to the Halloween party of the school theater club with her, Jennifer helped organize it every year. She also thought it might convince Colin to join since he'd told her he loved acting as well.
'Hey stranger.' Jennifer heard a voice next to her.
'Ian?' She said surprised. 'What are you doing here?'
'Same as you. Just walking.'
'Hum.' She mumbled into her scarf and put her hands in her pockets.
'I'm in love with you. Have been for ages.' He stated.
'What?' She asked looking up, not sure if he was joking or not.
'You heard me.' He said.
'Why is everyone in love with me all of the sudden?' She asked, more to herself than to Ian.
'Wait you mean the Colin dude?'
'Yeah, well he said he- never mind none of your business.'
'So can I kiss you?' You'd think he was a gentleman man for asking but before she could say no, what she was obviously gonna do, he grabbed her waist and attacked her lips with his. It took her a while to process what was happening. The truth is, she'd never been kissed before. Eventually she managed to get him off her and when she looked over his shoulder, Colin was there, holding her phone. He'd followed her because she left it at his house.
'You- you left your phone.' He said clearly heartbroken. He thought he had a chance.
'Thanks I-'
'It's okay, see you later.' He mumbled before walking away.
'Colin... wait!' But it was already too late.
'Come here.' Ian chuckled pulling her into his chest.
'No! Get off me!' She yelled pushing him away. 'I do not like you. Not like that anyway. Not sure I like you at all anymore.' She said angrily.
'I'm sorry I thought...'
'I don't care what you thought! You don't just do that. Good day.' She said before walking away. He didn't follow her.

As soon as Jennifer got home she sent Colin a text.

Sorry. He just kissed me I didn't want him to...

Oh. It's fine.

It's not really. I'm sorry.

It's not your fault.

You still wanna come to the party with me?

Sure. See ya.

You sure you're not mad?

Not at you.  x

Was that x a typo? Probably.
