Leigh's P.O.V

I slowly and reluctantly opened my eye lids and closed back again as the bright morning sun flowed through the blinds brightening my room and blinded me. I sit up and rub my eyes with my knuckles and stretched my arms and let my legs dangle off the bed. I looked at the alarm clock and it read 10:00 am.

I got down and walked to my wardrobe and picked up jeans and a T-shirt with a quote written that read, 'Eat, Sleep, Travel and repeat.'

It pretty much applied to some millionaire not me, I'm broke!

I quickly took a shower and got changed in my new set of clothes and packed my project work and headed down for breakfast.

While mom and I ate breakfast my phone rang, confusion marked my face as I checked the caller ID.

Noah

I swallowed my toast almost choking myself and attended the call.

"Noah?" I sloppily asked and my mom's head shot up immediately and her ears perked up like a cat, eager to overhear our conversation and I had to hold back an eye roll.

"Yeah it is. I was wondering if I could come over and pick you up?" His deep voice came almost nervously and I felt my cheeks heat up immediately and my lips quivered afraid to reply as my anxiety slowly crawled upon me.

"Okay." I choked out with my throat parched like sand paper.

"What's your address?" He asked.

"Kenzie Road , house number 20."

"Okay Leigh, see you soon."

I nodded realizing he couldn't see me and wanted to hit myself in the face.

"Bye." I said and hung up my phone sighing in relief but that didn't last long as my mom started her pestering.

"Noah." She cooed.
"Did he asked you on a date?" She asked her eyes lighting up.

"Mom! I barely know him!" I whined.
"And to answer your question, No."

She raised her hands in form of a surrender, "Okay, calm down."

I pushed my plate towards her, "I'm not feeling hungry anymore." I mumbled and got up.

"Are you okay Leigh?" She asked concern lacing her voice.

I nodded.

"I'm sorry, I won't pester you Leigh."

"I'm not mad at you mom. I'm going for a walk." I said and left to put on my shoes and left out of the house.

I pushed my earphones into my ears and started playing songs and started jogging and slowly increased my speed and ran feeling a rush of adrenaline. My heart pounded in rhythm to the beat of my feet running on the hard ground. Beads of sweat formed on my forehead and the rush of wind through my face made it exhilarating and I ran faster feeling free and took a sharp turn and kept running oblivious that I entered a new neighbourhood. I slowed down to a jog after a while taking in my surroundings.

I stopped dead in my tracks as I spotted a familiar black Audi.

Was this Noah's house?

I shook the thought thinking I was silly because there was a bike too, but curiosity got the better of me and I passed slowly by the house and let my eyes wander looking for a window without a curtain drawn. I found one with a half drawn curtain and saw a furious man maybe in his early 40s smashing his alcohol bottle and yelling at someone.
