Chapter Fourty Two

Isabelle's POV
( May 24, 2013)
Isabelle: Bye Mom!
Mom: Where are you going?
Isabelle: Chance is takin me to the mall to meet up with some if my friends,
Mom: You know I didn't like you hangin four with that Chance boy.
Isabelle: But you let Jake hang out with him. Why can't you and dad accept the fact that I'm dating Chance?
Mom: He's bad news sweetie. I just don't want you getting hurt.
Isabelle: What ever.
I walked out the door and climbed into my boyfriend's car. He took off at an alarming rate. After a few minutes he ran 2 red lights and was speeding.
Isabelle: Babe, slow down.
Chance: Why are you scared I'm gonna hurt cha?
Isabelle: No, I just don't want you getting in trouble.
He took a swig from a flask.
Isabelle: Whats in there?
Chance: None if your business. Shut up and let me drive.
Isabelle: Okay.
We rode in silence. The only noise to be heard was the faint music coming from the radio. I was looking out the window as we passed up the mall.
Isabelle: Chance we just passed the mall.
Chance: Oops.
He took a sharp turn. That time we missed it by a long shot.
Isabelle: Chance, we need to turn around again.
He wasn't answering me.
Isabelle: Chance. Chance! CHANCE!
I looked out the window and saw the we were headed straight into a Felix. I grabbed a hold of the wheel and swerved the car. Then, everything when black.
Isabelle's POV
I woke up in a cold sweat. I was terrified. I must have woken Emilio up because I felt his arms wrap around me
Emilio: Hey, Hey, Hey. Shhh. It's okay. Your fine I'm here. Shhh. Everything's okay.
Isabelle: I need to go.
I got out of bed and started getting dressed.
Emilio: It's 5:30 am. Where are you going?
Isabelle: To see Chance.
I put on some random stuff that went together and headed to the garage. Emilio was following me all the way down telling me that I couldn't see him. I got in my car and started the engine.
Emilio: You know what, I'm coming with you.
Isabelle: No.
Emilio: What?
Isabelle: You heard me. This is between me and Chance.
Emilio: But I-
Isabelle: Listen Emi, I love you and as much as I want you to come with me, you can't. It's personal business that I have to take care of okay?
Emilio:? Fine. Be careful.
Isabelle: Will do.
I pulled out of the garage and headed to the hospital. When I got there I went to the front desk.
Isabelle: Excuse me, but are people taking visitors right now?
The lady at the desk was short. I could barely see her I've the top of the desk.
Lady: I'm sorry sweetie but we can't take visitors until 7:45.
Isabelle: Okay. Thank you.
I left the hospital. It was just now 5:50 so there was no point waiting there until 7:45. I drove beck to the house and Emilio was waiting for me.
Isabelle: They don't take visitors until 7:45z
Emilio: Told you.
We walked to the kitchen and Emilio started looking through the cabinets. We settled on Eggos for breakfast. No one else was awake yet so we just made enough for the two of us.
Emilio: Breakfast is served.
Isabelle: Looks delicious.
I took one bite and felt sick to my stomach. I ran to the bathroom and yet again puked. Emilio followed me to make sure I was okay.
Emilio: It's okay babe. Let me hold your hair back.
He pulled my hair out of me face. After a few minutes I felt a lot better. I got up and Emilio carried me to the living room and set me done on the couch.
Emilio: Are you okay?
Isabelle: Yeah, I'm fine now.
Emilio: Stay here. I'm gonna go get the thermometer.
Isabelle: Emi I'm not sick. It's just all the stress.
Emilio: Sure it is.
He left and came back with a thermometer. He took my temperature,
Emilio: 98.8 I guess your right.
Isabelle: Told ya. It's like 7:30 so I'm gonna go the hospital.
Emilio: Can I please come with you? It's so boring here.
Isabelle: No. I have to talk to Chance alone.
Emilio: I could wait outside.
Isabelle: Stop.
Emilio: But babe.
Isabelle: I'm going alone.
Emilio: Fine. Tell him I said hi.
Isabelle: Will do. I love you.
I gave him a kiss and headed out to my car. I drove the hospital and headed straight up to Chances room. He was watching TV.
Isabelle: Hey.
Chance: Hey Izzy.
Isabelle: What cha watching?
Chance: I don't know really.
Isabelle: Can you turn it off for a second?
Chance: Sure.
We turned the TV off and looked at me.
Isabelle: You were drinking again.
Chance: How did you find out?
Isabelle: Jake told me what happened. And if you don't remember this isn't the first time you passed out drunk at the wheel.
Chance: The first time was an accident.
Isabelle: And this wasn't?!
Chance: It was. I just don't know when to stop I guess.
Isabelle: Yeah. And don't let it happen again. Or I will tell everyone about your little drinking problem understand?
Chance: Yes. I promise.
Isabelle: Good. For now, stay away from the alcohol okay?
Chance: Will do. How is Tessa?
Isabelle: Asleep.
Chance: Is she Okay?
Isabelle: Let me be more clear. She's in a coma.
Chance: Oh my god!
Isabelle: It's medically induced. She had a lot of pieces glass a lover and she lost a lot of blood.
Chance: Every relationship I'm in always fails. I'll never find love.
Isabelle: That's what I thought when I broke up with you. I was freakin depressed. But, I found Emilio and you'll find someone. Just, maybe not a member of Team Ten.
Chance: Good idea.
We talked for a little while longer and then someone knocked on the door.
Addison: Good morning Chance. Oh, is this your girlfriend?
Isabelle: No, no, no.
Chance: She's my friend.
Addison: Well, hi. I'm Addison. Chance's nurse for his stay. How are we doing today?
Chance: Fine. Nothing hurts which is good I guess.
Addison: Well, that's great. The doctor says you'll be out of here pretty soon.
Chance: Great.
Isabelle: Um Addison.
Addison: Yes?
Isabelle: Do you know anything about Tessa Brooks?
Addison: Yeah. What do you need to know?
Isabelle: When is she gonna come out of the coma?
Addison: They say maybe today.
Isabelle: Thats great. Can I speak to the doctor?
Addison: Sure. Come with me.
I told Chance bye and followed Addison out into the hall. I took out my phone and called Jake.
Jake: Yes?
Isabelle: Get everyone up and over to the hospital stat.
Jake: Why? Did something happen to Chance?
Isabelle: No. They are taking Tessa out of her coma.
Jake: OH MY GOD!
Isabelle: Hurry. I'm on my way to talk to her doctor.
Jake: Okay. See you soon.
I talked t Tessa's doctor and he said he would let me know when she was awake. About 3 and a half hours later, all of Team Ten was waiting in the skating room. Addison came in and said,
Addison: Jake and Isabelle Paul?
We both walked over to her and she led us to where Tessa was.
Tessa: (tiredly) Hey Izzy
