Breeze's screams of pain echoed throughout the forest. He clutched the blade tighter, desperately not wanting to drop it. He screamed out again as he started to slice through another chunk of his long hair. It hurt him because of the spiritual and magic energy that ran through every strand. Blood started to drip down from his eyes by a small amount, but as he cut more, more blood that spilled. Chunks of red fell to the forest floor with no sound.

"Ah..Mhnph!" Breeze Let the blade drop. It made a thud as it fell next to the pile of red hair. He held onto his head and covered his mouth, trying to muffle his cries. Slowly the vibrant red color of his hair, slowly turned black as all the energy was released and no more. "I'm so sorry, Kaliam." Breeze said weakly, jumping out of the tree. He nearly stumbled over himself as he walked back home.

The sun was nearly over the horizon by the time Breeze made it to his tent. Kaliam was already up and sitting in bed. Probably because of morning sickness. He glanced up over at Breeze and started to scream. He crawled up to a corner and curled in a ball.

"Kaliam, it's just me!" Breeze tried coming closer, but Kaliam threw a piece of wood at him. It nearly hit his head.

"Go away! P-please!" Kaliam cried, clutching his belly.

"Kaliam..please. It's me, Breeze." Breeze looked at him worried. "I-i love you..." His eyes rolled to the back of his head as he passed out.

Breeze woke up in his bed. Bandages were wrapped neatly around his head and the blood from his eyes had been cleaned. He tried getting up, but his body ached too much.

"Don't get up, Breeze." Kaliam walked over with a bucket of water. He knelt down slowly, dumping a rag into the bucket.

"W-what..what happened?" His voice was weak and soft. Kaliam tugged at the rag, getting all the unwanted water out. He then placed the rag on Breeze's forehead.

"You were in a coma for a week now."

"A-a week?!" Breeze jolted up, ignoring the pain. "Did anything happen?! Are you alright?" Kaliam smiled to reassure him. He slowly placed Breeze back down and set the rag back on his forehead.

"Nothing happened." Kaliam then looked down. "What did you do?" He reached for Breeze's now short black hair. "Your hair.." It didn't give off that certain glow or feeling it used to before. It was plain and dull looking. It seemed to have no life.

"I-I cut it.." he sighed, closing his eyes for a bit. "So that we'll be safe."

"What does cutting your hair have to do with our safety?" Breeze breathed in heavily. He was trying not to cry.

"I was born with a curse. A faeye had cursed my father so that his first born son would bare a very powerful ability. Yes, it's powerful, but if I ever used it bad things would come from it. All types of faeye and humans would come and hunt me down for all different types of reasons." Kaliam looked at Breeze with a worried and sad face. "And now that they know of our forbidden mating. They'll come to kill you and our baby. I cut my hair, so it's harder for anyone to locate me." Kaliam laid his hand on Breeze's cheek.

"You didn't have to put yourself to through all this pain." Breeze nodded and put his own hand on top of Kaliam's.

"I did. For you.."
