Kaliam woke up, still in Breeze's big arms. His eyes felt puffy and dry from all that crying last night. He wiped the sleep out of his eyes and carefully removed Breeze's arms from around his waist. Breeze was still asleep as Kaliam walked out of the tent. There was no wind, so everything was quiet and still. Cicadas made their loud humming all around and every so often a bird sang from high up in a tree. Kaliam sat on the grass, playing with a small twig.
"Rakyna...why did I suddenly remember you? Is it because I fell in love with Breeze and scared to love again?" Silence. Kaliam sighed, resting his head in the palm of his hand. He wasn't expecting an answer exactly, but wished he had received one. He was so frustrated and confused by his past and now with the present. Kaliam chuckled softly to himself, trying to rid of the negativity. "He looks just like Rakyna. With the face expression."
"I look just like who?" Kaliam looked up from his twig with wide eyes. Breeze smiled down at him. His hair that was in a braid was now messy and stuck up in odd Swirls. Kaliam fumbled to his feet, dropping the twig. He hesitated for a moment, but then sighed.
"I feel like I could trust you fully now." Breeze had grinned, hearing that. "Y-you look like my past mate. His name was Rakyna." Kaliam took in a deep breath before continuing. "An enemy tribe had attacked us. We lost many people, including my unborn child." Tears slowly started to stream down his small face as he pressed his hand against his flat abdomen. Breeze watched, suddenly changing his expression into a frown. "We were so excited for our first baby. Rakyna especially was. But when we lost our little boy, Rakyna lost his mind. He slit his own throat in the woods one day." He sniffled, breathing in deeply. "I'm sorry. You just remind me so much of him." Breeze's eyes widened at that comment. He held out his arms for Kaliam to take, cause that's all he could really think about at the time to comfort the saddened male. Immediately Kaliam embraced him. Wrapping his arms as far as they could go around the muscular males waist. The tears just couldn't be held back no more and streamed down Kaliam's now red face like a river. Breeze rubbed his light brown hair back out of his face. "B-Breeze.." He hiccuped. "P-Please...Please be my mate." Breeze's smile widened.
"Anything for you." He held him tighter to his bare chest, laying his head on top of Kaliam's. Kaliam smiled, breathing in the familiar scent. He scrunched up his nose, pulling back a bit.
"My first order for you as you're new mate is to bathe. You smell of rotten flesh and man sweat! And fix you're bed head!" Breeze playfully punched Kaliam on the shoulder.
"Get used to it." Kaliam laughed as Breeze picked him up bridal style. "Cause that's what everything is gonna smell like! You would as well!"
"Ew, no!" Kaliam laughed as Breeze carried him away to the creek. A soft breeze had suddenly appeared and made the delicate lavender plants sway.
