When we got back home, it was time for lunch. Mom made me some mac & cheese. I finished my food then went up stairs. I took a picture of myself with the sling and sent it to Lana. No reply. A few minutes later Henry sent me a message saying "I heard about your arm. I hope you're okay." I almost screamed. Henry sent me a message! I sent a reply saying "Oh thanks." I know that Lana had to be the one to tell him. I never told anyone else and Mom doesn't even know Henry.
Henry asked me if I wanted to hang out on Saturday. I pinched myself, slapped myself, and splashed cold water on my face. I actually wasn't dreaming. I asked Mom if I could but instead of telling her about Henry, I told her I was hanging out with Lana.
"Of course," she answered. "You know I will always let you hang out with Lana."
I thanked Mom and ran up stairs. I plopped down on my bed and texted Lana telling her if Mom asks, tell her that we're hanging out. I messaged Henry and told him I could hang out. I really wanted to ask him why Madyson kissed him on Wednesday but I couldn't bring myself to it.
I had a hard time changing into my pajamas but I did it. I felt accomplished.
I woke up to my phone going off. Henry was calling me! I picked up the phone quickly, not knowing how much time was left before it went to voicemail.
"Hey, Julia," Henry said in his sweet voice. "I was calling to ask when we were going to hang out today."
I told him 10:00 A.M. which meant I had 2 hours to get ready. I knew I needed a lot of time to make myself look perfect. He told me to dress casual. I still needed to look perfect though.
