It turned out Olive had broken Noah's nose from her punch, something Enoch was very proud of but she had to be on cleaning duty for the next week as a punishment. She didn't mind as Enoch did it with her and it gave them extra time to talk. Noah had decided to stay in his bedroom the next few days, milking out his injury and getting the younger children to do everything for him.
"Did you really break his nose?"
"I can't imagine you punching anyone!"
"Ew was there blood?"Olive was overwhelmed with the children's questions, as once they got word of how Noah really sustained his injury, Olive became the new celebrity of the household as violence was so out of character for her. The truth was, she didn't regret it and was quite pleased with herself for punching him. It hurt her so much when he kissed her without asking and spoke badly about the children she had grown to love as siblings - she wouldn't hesitate to do it again. She didn't mean to break his nose, but she wasn't really holding back either.
Miss Peregrine heard about Noah kissing Olive and Enoch's revenge and once she saw proof of how Noah treated the other children when he was alone, she decided it was best if he was transferred into another children's home. No-one was sad to see him go and they even organised a party amongst themselves to celebrate him leaving.
Horace offered to help Jake and Enoch pick out their clothes as he had a love for fashion and the other boys would be lost when it came to dressing smartly. Emma and Olive helped each other and they both looked lovely when they finally finished getting ready. Enoch had always thought Olive was pretty but now he could see just how beautiful she was.
"Wow you guys look great!" Olive said, ignoring the stares all three boys were giving her.
Horace realised his mouth was open so shut it quickly and looked away. Jake thanked her and said she looked nice too, before kissing Emma and twirling her around.
"Nice? Olive you look beautiful!" Enoch said. Olive blushed which showed up badly on her pale skin and Horace winked at Enoch.
"Thank you. You look very smart in green. It makes a change from your usual grey and black."
Horace smiled to himself as he saw Enoch and Olive awkwardly attempt flirting. Jake and Emma may be the cutest (and only) couple in the house but it was evident Enoch and Olive liked each other. They were both just too shy to admit their feelings. The party was really fun but the younger children were tired from all the dancing so went upstairs until it was just Enoch, Olive, Jake and Emma left. Olive fell asleep on the sofa just before midnight so Enoch carried her up to her bedroom and tucked her in. She looked so peaceful and he was pleased that Noah had gone for good. Maybe he would tell her how he felt before someone else got there first?
