As soon as Olive woke up, she felt horrible - she had a pounding headache and fell back down on her bed when she tried to stand. She had no idea what it could be; she was fine at the party last night. Well, aside from falling asleep at some point. She couldn't even remember coming back up to her room. Olive looked down and realised she was still in her party clothes. Someone must have taken her up here while she was asleep. She secretly hoped it was Enoch.

As she went down to breakfast, Olive's head was still hurting but she didn't want to say anything to cause a fuss. Last time Fiona had complained of a headache, Miss Peregrine made her stay in bed all day. Olive didn't want to be away from Enoch.
"Olive you look terrible!" Enoch said as soon as she sat down.
"Good morning to you too, Enoch."

Enoch realised what he said and tried to redeem himself.
"I didn't mean it like that. You're still beautiful but you look ill."
Olive blushed at him calling her beautiful but didn't want to question it in front of everyone.
"I'm fine, just a bit tired."
Olive noticed Miss Peregrine watching her throughout the meal but looked at her food and smiled through the pain in her head.

No-one else commented on her appearance and the day went by quite normally. Her and Enoch played some board games in her room but then her eyesight went blurry and she couldn't focus on the game.
"I'm just going to get some water," Olive said, leaving the room.
The other children had just gone to bed.

Enoch was worried about Olive. She looked paler than normal and kept subconsciously touching her head. She said she was okay but Enoch knew that Olive would always pretend to be alright to not worry anyone. But he was worried. Just as he was about to check on her, as it had been 10 minutes and she still wasn't back from getting water - a crash came from the bathroom.

Enoch was on his feet in an instant and was shocked at what he saw. Olive was lying on the floor in the bathroom, an empty cup on the side of the sink. He knelt down beside her and moved her hair away from her face. She was unconscious and there was a trickle of blood from her nose. After gently shaking her arm to no avail, he scooped her up, just as he had last night, but this time she wasn't sleeping and carried her into his room.

Miss Peregrine came to see what the noise was and fussed over Olive. She decided it was best for Enoch to stay with her until she woke up, because the younger children were asleep, apart from Fiona who was locking up.
