The Special was something to look forward to. It is the replacement of the Olympics many years ago.
Every year, families members put their name in to have a chance of winning. Winning what? Winning the opportunity to meet an athlete in the Special, and train with them.
For the past 3 years my family and I have been entering and entering only to find we were not picked.
One year it was Micheal O'Shea.
The next, Harriet Rellman.
It was a big disappointment and we all moped for the entire day.
This year, I had a feeling, it was going to change.
